put it in saskatoon or winnipeg so the spainards dont know how to get there
Nadal might be too lazy or 'hurt' to bother changing planes 4 times to get to saskatoon.

Years ago the Saddledome hosted a one-off charity exhibition tennis match between an ageing Jimmy Connors and then world no.1 Ivan Lendl. It was supposed to be McEnroe v Connors (I think) but Mac had to pull out and Lendl stepped in. He absolutely hammered Connors.
That would be a good venue. Keep it at about 14c and install a lightning quick carpet surface. Just hope they don't play the same horrible music you would get at Flames games.

Don't know if it was a replay but I just watched Raonic put away Andy "Mr. Big 4" Murray at the Tokyo semis. Good on him, if he can finish off this fall/winter hard court swing strong, maybe top 10 next year is well within reach.

It was live. The final is tonight at 9pm mountain, noon tokyo time against the hometown guy Nishikori.

Not only is the top 10 within reach but a place in the year-end top 8 ATP World final in London is a possibility too. He could get 500 points here, there are still two 1000 tournaments to go, Shanghai and Paris.

That was a hell of a performance by Raonic, especially to learn so fast after the way Murray schooled him in New York.

You mean wins a major and then immediately slides off into obscurity? Well I guess the grand slam would be nice but I'm hoping he can get even more out of his career than that. I think the biggest enemy will always be injuries...he's a big dude and the joints will always take more of a beating. But if he can focus on ending most points with a big blast, that will be the way to max his skills.

I was mistaken, doubles match is first up.

So the Final will be played at 11pm Mountain time on Sportsnet One.

Nice! For a Saturday evening, that's reasonable. I'll definitely be watching.

Sportsnet ONE has been doing a great job. They showed all of Milos' matches live in this tournament. I watched a bit of the Tipsarevic quarterfinal two nights ago and most of the Murray semifinal last night.

I expect them to show a lot of Shanghai Masters next week too late into the night.

My dilemma is how am I going to watch tennis late then cricket early?

Watched the match last night...Murray is kind of a whackadoodle, every mistake, mi####, call doesn't go his way, he has a running commentary with himself...and the yelling. Has he always been like that?

Yup he has been. Lendl his coach has tried to calm him down and he's played better but Lendl is playing an exhibition somewhere so he's not in Tokyo.

Murray's one of the more hated players (by fans) on tour because of his attitude.

Yawn...here...just barely. At this hour I just want a quick thrashing of Nishikori. Not in the mood for a Nadal/Nole type 3 hour epic right now.
