.Gifs not loading

About a week ago all the embedded .gif files on CP started not loading for me at all. They just look like a really blurry picture. Still connected to the same internet, same laptop, same browser. Any idea what could be going wrong?

This happened with the latest version of Chrome as far as I can tell, I get the same thing in Chrome, but if I switch to Firefox it's fine.

I've read others having the same issue around the Internet.

Yeah, it's a Chrome thing.

In chrome,I find I can get the gif to load by right-clicking on the image and opening the image in a new tab. Weirdly, this causes the image to load properly in the original page too.
