Default Fail for Nail?

Dallas and the Wild hooked up in deal that sees 3 top end prospects changing teams.

To minny:
Ryan Strome
Niklas Jensen
2013 1st (sjs)

To Dallas
Nail Yakapov

This was a pretty straight forward deal to put together. I paid a lot and am not 100% sure Yakapov is THAT much better then Strome. That said, I'm willing to take a chance. Feeling good with both Yakapov and galchenyuk moving forward

Thanks grant for the deal. Straight shooter as always.

Building a team with Russians. Seems like a good idea

I just never really was big on Nail. I don't think he's a bust - but I think he's a poor #1 overall pick. But I could easily be wrong.

Strome could be a real home run if he plays with JT long-term. Jensen is a guy I drafted and have no re-acquired twice - so I like him a lot.

And I'm trying to stock up on 1sts for this draft so that works too.

Fun deal.

Expensive price for Yak, but I do think Yakupov has the highest potential and will be the best overall player in this deal.

Like it for both teams, despite Dallas giving up alot of pieces, if Yakupov pans out he will be a stellar player for many years...in the KHL

I should also add that I think sjs 1st is the swing piece here. Sjs, please don't make this look to bad for me by sucking!

So let me get this straight, the Wild traded;

Ovechkin 26y 75ov
Teuvo Teravainen 7.5C
Conditional 2nd

for:

Jordan Staal 23y 70ov
Dougie Hamilton 9.0C
Ryan Strome 8.0C
Niklas Jensen 7.5C
1st (SJ - Likely top 20)
------------------------------------------------------
Nik = TT
Staal, Hamilton = Ovechkin
Strome, 1st >>>>> 2nd

Wow, nice moves over the last couple days for the Wild!
