Default Foot Problems

Let me first say that I've got a doctors appointment booked. Unfortunately I have to wait a couple of weeks for that appointment, where he'll probably take 2 minutes and refer me to a specialist.

I've been feeling some weirdness with my feet lately. At first it was just my right foot, but now it is with both feet. I do not feel pain, it just doesn't feel right. It is in the balls of my feet. I thought it was the socks I was wearing were bunched up in my shoes under the balls of my feet, but the feeling wouldn't go away when I removed my shoes and pulled up my socks. After having my wife take a look she said it looked like the balls of my feet were swollen.

Has anybody else experienced this? It is weird because it doesn't hurt. I don't feel pain and I wouldn't say it is discomfort because that would suggest some pain. It just feels weird.

Are you wearing a new pair of shoes? Maybe you need to get fitted for some orthotics.

Sounds like they`ll have to amputate. I`m so sorry.

Is it in the bones of the foot or the meaty pad part of the foot. I guess it is possible to bruise the pad portion of your foot.

Both feet. The pad portion.

Funny story, I was quickly explaining this to a co-worker and I left out the "of my feet" part and told them "My balls are swelling". I couldn't figure out why they suddenly gave me such a weird look.

Gout is a type of arthritis that usually forms in the feet due to purines in the diet. Do you eat a lot of red meat?

How tight are your calves? You have a lot of tendons attached to the base of your foot. If your calves are tight I would suggest 10 minutes of daily stretching. After a few days you would notice a difference.

that's a good description of it. I get it in the joint of my ankle and when it flares up I am unable to walk without crutches, the slightest breeze of air will send me through the roof screaming in pain

Try seeing a Podiatrist. My friend had bad foot problems and was set up with a nice brace.

Definitely get this looked at by a Doctor. A former coworker of mine was discovered to have Diabetes when he came in complaining about sore feet.
