Funny thing is that she was with me when we went shooting last year.
But I'll take your suggestion and run with it, next time we go.

It does work....I could post a video of my GF shooting my mossy at the range laughing hysterically at the fun. She went out and got her RPAL and even has her own plinker (Rem 597 .22 with a scope)

Negative. Its pretty clear in the pamphlet. The only requirement is unloaded (including empty magazine, unless for wildlife protection as specified). There are a number of people who are "do good" types who teach over and above the law, these discussions come up often in regards to transport, storage, safes, etc. The law states exactly what is there, what you choose to do above that is up to you, for example, my GF puts her cable lock in her rifle before transport, whereas I'll just case them now, no locks

FN9 is a neat gun! Now go find your 92 and shoot the crap out of it

Yah, I would be inclined not to chamber a round until ready to shoot either, its not that big of a deal to do, and protects you and others against a negligent discharge from dropping or mishandling your firearm. Especially seeing how most of the common carries for rifles have relatively unsafe muzzle directions, and not all safeties are created equal. If you hunt with people like that, ask them as a courtesy to stop, if they don't, hunt with different people!
And please, cartridge, not shell....Its not a shell unless its a shotgun

Can you suggest any "beginner" type models? I did some target shooting last year at Shooting Edge and we had a lot of fun with the hand-guns they provided. I don't remember the types. "Same if not similar to what the police use", as I seem to remember them saying.
As well, what are the requirements for storing a hand-gun in the home? Types of storage? Etc?

Answer, please!

Umm, all bullets, not just bullets for shotguns, come in shell casings, so its definitely not wrong at all.

If they said that, you were shooting the glock. If you were shooting their glock, it was a POS .....As for "beginner" type pistols, the best suggestion is to go with a .22 calibre pistol, such as the GSG.22 , the Chiappa .22, or a Walther P22, or a CZ75 Kadet. They are all like their bigger brothers, but they teach you proper control, trigger pull, flinch control, all with the benefit of buying 500+rds of ammo for about $25. Can't beat that! You likely will never get rid of it because they still are a blast to shoot, and they're great for taking girls out and introducing them to the sport.
Requirements for storage are a locked container for the pistol, a trigger lock for the pistol when its in that locked container, and thats about it. The post I had up with the transport regulations also outlines the storage requirements for the firearms. Have a look over it!
And remember, its an expensive hobby, and firearms magically multiply with no real reason

Incorrect. Cartridges consist of a case, a primer, powder, and a bullet. People who call them "shells" are doing so incorrectly, likely by habit. Common mistake. Shotguns also don't have "bullets". They have shot, buck, slugs or a combination thereof. Shotgun shells consist of a shell, powder, wadding/sabot, and shot or slug.

Ummmmm...Is that not the shell casing? What else can it be? You need to encase all of the elements that make up a bullet. Said encasement is known as a shell casing, as well as a cartridge or a round. You may not like the term, but I don't think its wrong.

Go to a store that sells ammunition and ask for a box of .45 ammo. See if it says "Shells" anywhere on the box.
It will say cartridge.

Why are you even in this thread? All you are doing is Trolling. Aleks is 100% correct. I strongly urge you to google it before continuing with your argument.

Indeed it is. You can always ignore it, like you did every other completety irrelavent comment in this thread but mine. I mean seriously, either pick everyone apart or stop looking like such a hypocrite. Oh wait its the internet, no one cares what they look like.
And if I wanted to troll I could troll much harder than I have been, believe me. Lots of studies out there that have negative links to gun ownership, or hunting, and when I want to actually troll I will bust those out, because the gun owners will be ready to pounce.
I also love GoinAllTheWay saying I should just google it. Then why does this thread exist? If the point is to simply go to google, then why have this thread?
