You know hating on Nickelback has reached it's saturation point when frontmen from bands as middle as the road as them (*cough* Dave Grohl *cough*) are slamming them on twitter.
I'm not going to start up that debate, but that was a fake twitter account.
I don't mind Avril or Nickelback but i do agree that Nickelback's genric, same sounding song style is just old and its shocking they are still very popular. And i do agree that Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne take the cake for crappiest mainstream artists today. My god these guy are awful.
Nothing wrong with making music to make money. They make the money because people enjoy it. There are worse ways of getting to be rich and it seems like following that route would be a pretty easy decision to make being confident it would work. They didn't make money doing anything dishonest and all of what they make comes from people who are happy to give up the cash for what they produce. Those people could have given cash to the struggling creative artists instead, but didn't.
What's the problem? The market economy?
Seems like a great life.

Whoops, you accidentally put the word vanilla instead of awesome. No big deal, I'm sure you'll edit it when you come back to this thread and see the mistake.

I love vanilla. It's very tasty yet simple and pure. It's not spoiled by fancy colors or artificial flavours it's just very good at making your tastebuds happy. Kind of like the Foo Fighters. Old school, pure, unspoiled rock band that makes my ears happy.

Wanna know what's sad? Nickelback was the last artist to reach the top of the Hot 100 with a rock single.

That's not technically correct. Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's charted on the rock charts and it got to #1, as did We Are Young by Fun. I realize its being very loose to use the term rock to describe those songs, but that speaks more to how awful rock music is than anything else.

So, I didn't believe this and decided to research this. Do yourself a favour, don't research this, it's depressing because it reminds you of how popular #### like Kesha is.

What's wrong with Fun? I love music like this. Fun, Walk The Moon, Imagine Dragons, etc.
