Glenn Beck strikes me as a lot more unstable than Jones, and Jones can be a complete nutjob. Glenn Beck makes himself look bad, while Jones makes every single person that doesn't support the government look bad.
What a tool he comes across as. You can see that he was so tempted to explain what he meant, but just couldn't come up with an answer that doesn't make him look like an absolute tool.
How people listen to this goof and agree with him I'll never understand.
I don't really know the guy, so I can't comment on his views; but from a superficial view, I'd say he played it off really well. Katie was obviously just trying to get him to say dumb sh*t to make himself look bad, and he straight up called her out on it. Sure he squirmed trying to explain why he wasn't answering, but he totally denied Katie (as she should have been).
As much as a I hate Beck, he did the right thing here. This was clearly an attempt by a scrupulous reporter to create an out of context soundbyte. Beck identified that right away and called her out.
As for the term "white culture", that's a term that is commonly used, especially by left wing sources. Anyone who's ever taken a sociology course, knows that not only do left wing politicians use it, they obsess about it. To call Beck a racist for using the term is hypocritical. To expect him to define a complex term on the spot in a sentence or to is BS.
The fact Couric was already using the word racist before he even answered illustrates her foregon conclusion and what her intentions were. I avoid Beck like the plague, so I don't know if this is a tactic he commonly uses. Even if it is, other journalists shouldn't be sinking to his level.

My take on it is that as soon as he realises he has no intelligible answer, he goes all cutesy and tries to charm her to avoid the subject...a favorite tactic of 5 year olds.
pathetic

Katie Couric is about as serious a journalist as Glenn Beck to be fair. She's basically a joke as well. Ironic that the video is three years old because thats probably the last time either of them were relevant.

It is? I see my fair share of "left wing sources" and it's not something I'm familiar with.
I even used the googles, and it mostly came back with this actual story (the Glenn Beck/Katie Couric thing) and a bunch of articles about people with the last name "White" and "culture" in the article. That wasn't all of it, but actual "white culture" didn't seem to be a common thing.

Agreed. Couldn't find anything either. The fact is, if he was using a commonly used term, he could have explained it as such and why he used it in the context that he did.
It was smart that he avoided elaborating on it though. Anything he said would probably border on hate speech (if that exists in the US, maybe it doesn't, considering how Michael Richards, Mel Gibson, etc. haven't been charged with anything).
I give kudos to the US President though. If I was fortunate enough to be the president, I would ensure people like that woud be on "no-fly lists" and go all J. Edgar Hoover on them. But that's just me, and I can be pretty petty sometimes.
.. and for more of the Glenn Beck pile-on:

Hey this guy! I've not seen him since I got rid of CNN years ago!
btw I knew there wasn't going to be a torture video of a cup of salt being poured on a large earth worm ...but a part of me was hoping though...

I liked this
Glen Beck, "I'm not accusing Al Gore of being a Nazi or anything like that."
