I like swearing but there is no real benefit to letting people swear. plus now that it filters your swears to ####, instead of the word just being filtered out of your post completely like it used to be, when you do swear people get the basic gist of what your were trying to say.

I think swear filters are stupid. If someone wants to swear to make a point they'll just be creative and find a way work around it.

Just because I call someone an @sshole doesn't mean that anybody is fooled by what I'm saying... unless your 5 years old maybe.

Swears are mostly lazy filler. I use a sht ton of it in everyday conversation and casual emails or texts. But on here I like that I actually have to take a second and think about how I wanna say something effectively. If swears were allowed I think people's arguments would just get weaker cause they'd end up over-relying on them to express whatever emotion they want to convey.

Seriously though, I'm swear more than most people I know in daily conversation, but am glad they're filtered here. Makes the conversations much more civil.
