Call it bias then. There is nothing useful about the people who used to follow me around and think their trump card in every argument was "well you got banned".

Instead of constantly fighting back I reported all those posts in hope that the mods would tell the posters to knock it off. I'll never know if they did or not but eventually that stuff went away for the most part.

I just don't see why returning posters are hated so much. A troll is a troll is a troll, new or not, returning or not. But for some reason people think they have carte Blanche to flame, goad, and troll those people because they came back.

I obviously don't slavishly follow the lives of fellow posters, or all the threads, because I never know when somebody is banned until I click on an old thread where under their name are the words "Lifetime Suspension"

then I'm either overjoyed .... particularly when its one of the real annoying ones like TeaFrapp or whatever the hell his name was.

... or just puzzled and wondering what they did that was serious enough to warrant a lifetime suspension.

So who were you Cecil?

He was Flip

But I only know because others told me. I have no idea how some people are so good at knowing which new poster was which old banned poster

I'm curious as to what the moderating team's viewpoint is on this. I've searched through the CP rules, guidelines and stickies, but haven't found much information. Has anyone found anything?

With how easy it seems to come back, I need to get banned just so I can pick a new user name.

How lame of a life must you have to go through a proxy server to post on a site that banned you, lol.

BlackRedGold25, I believe. But it's not new, he had both accounts going, or so the story goes.

This topic is way off what I hoped I would be anyways... I was hoping for ideas and thoughts on how we can curb future banned poster sign ups.

Flip, second chances are fine... But they should take their time out then ask to come back. I have no problem with you or puckluck being back but both of you should have returned under your old usernames.

Harsh limits of what a new user could curb trouble that a banned poster does.

I would use my old one if they had asked me to.

To actually Address your op, I don't know what to do. Perhaps more sin bins? I know there is no set amount to get you banned but I'd be curious how many people usually get. Instead of kicking them out right away just give them a month or two sin bin. Some people will never learn though and still get banned.

I also think one chance is enough. I can't see myself coming back should I ever be banned again.
