The guy four seats over from me got his finals tickets for the current season ticket price of $224.00. Its all about when you buy in.
Parking for the finals was 60.00 to 100.00 depending on how lucky I got. Considering the bargain I have for my seats, I didn't dare complain about parking. But, it was a joke.
I should also add, I spent more on tickets for the Western Conference finals games in Phoenix than it cost me in LA. It was 68.00 in Phoenix, and I paid 22.00, I think, for WCF tickets at Staples Center.

The way the Kings have done that is probably unique. I don't know of any other team that lets you keep the price you bought in at.

They were in desperate need of a season ticket base as they lost thousands of season ticket holders the last three years of Dave Taylor's time as GM. I considered canceling as well, but when diehards came out, I decided to move upstairs until the team was financially worth what I was paying for my seats. Diehards were introduced at 10.00 (now 12.50) per seat. Anyone could afford tickets at that price. They sold out five sections in two months, mind you this was the dismal 2003/04 season. The Kings needed to replace the season ticket holders they lost because they were at risk of losing ad revenue in the arena. Advertisers expect a minimum season ticket base and the Kings didn't have it.
Now, ticket prices have gone up over 100% in some sections, but the accounts that used to be called diehards bring down the average ticket price so it still benefits the Kings from a sales standpoint. I don't expect it to go on forever, and when they stopped selling these accounts four seasons ago, I expected to pay normal prices. But, I still have the best deal in the NHL and my tickets actually pay for themselves. This is the perk of hanging in there when most people didn't care. I wonder how many diehards cancelled during the rebuild who are kicking themselves now.
I have a feeling getting season tickets in Phoenix while times seem really bad will seem like a great decision years from now. To me, if I live there and I'm an NHL fan, I'd buy season tickets without thinking twice about it.

A troll attempt? Seriously? How does comparing Cup finals tickets in LA vs Canada have anything to do with Phoenix or have anything to do with trolling?
I'm just amazed at how cheap Ice's tickets were.

As part of the tax filing, the NHL also listed its five highest-paid contractors. Of the top five, three were for legal services, totaling $8.8 million: Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher — which represented the NHL when it acquired the Phoenix Coyotes in November 2009 — at $6.08 million; Proskauer at $1.74 million, and Covington & Burling at $979,589.

Why hasn't someone made a site like "DidGomezScore.com" for the Coyotes? "DidTheCoyotesSellYet.com"

Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett backs group on Glendale sales-tax initiative
http://www.azcentral.com/community/g...nitiative.html
In a brief filed this week, the secretary of state asked the Arizona Court of Appeals to overturn a Maricopa County Superior Court judge's ruling, which said that the Glendale city clerk had grounds to boot the proposed measure from the November ballot. The brief was filed jointly by the Secretary of State's Office and the Arizona Attorney General's Office.
In the Monday filing, a lawyer for the Attorney General's Office and two attorneys for Secretary of State's Office said the city overstepped when it rejected the group's signatures.
"The city's subjective rejection of the initiative because the language might mislead voters disregards the objective protections put in place to guard the integrity of the electoral process," the brief said.
"The city's actions, if affirmed by this court, have the potential to morph the election filing officer's role in the eye of the public from an impartial guardian of the process to a partisan gatekeeper," the attorneys argued in court papers.
