NASA has needed a win for a while. I hope this gives them the boost they deserve. Time to reinvigerate the space program - work toward a goal like a manned mission to Mars. Yes, it's expensive, but worth it.

The London Olympics cost six times as much as this mission, but this is infinitely cooler. I can't wait until they get the main camera operating and taking photos.

I think the orbiter Odyssey will not be able to send more data for 90 minutes as it orbits the planet.

So, I didn't realize how much larger this rover was. It's designed to be able to climb over objects 30 inches high and it's power source is electricity produced from radioactive decay of Plutonium 238 with a 20% drop in power after a minimum 14 years.

This thing is awesome!

Im glad I tuned in to all 3 hours of that! I was on pins and needles the last few minutes there! Amazing how far technology has come! Cant wait for HD pictures!
