They said the fall was worth a 0.6 deduction off execution, so looks like MacLennan would have won big anyway.

0.6 deduction on execution, meaning a max score of 9.4 from all three judges. 1.8 off total, meaning I don't think there was any chance China would win the gold. The reaction from MacLennan and Cockburn pretty much confirms this.
