I recommend the Museum of Civilization (across on the Quebec side). They have a great Rocket Richard exhibit.

The Civilization and War Museums are both good (those are the only museums I've visited in Ottawa).
You can take a tour inside the Parliament Buildings, and just walk around the grounds and look at the various statues and stuff. Sometimes, there will be crazy people protesting things by the eternal flame at the front of the grounds.
A nice walking tour of downtown would be to start at the Byward Market (nice outdoor market east of the Parliament), then walk towards the Parliament. You'll go past the Chateau Laurier and the canal locks, and the War Memorial. Then, walk back along Sparks Street, which is a pedestrian mall like Stephen Avenue.
There's a tourist information place across from Parliament Hill that is useful. They have a big 3-D map of the area which is surrounded by descriptions of all the area attractions and you can press a button beside each attraction's description and it lights up on the map. This is useful for planning your day.

Why does my tissue paper keep tearing in mid wipe? Am I doing something wrong? Is it something gritty I ate? Does it have to do with the fur forest down there? Am I using this thread wrong?

Gee, someone on the Internet actually knows proper grammar and people complain. I was actually going commend he OP for his use of grammar. The hyphens are proper.

Get the good stuff.
I use either Charmin UltraSoft or UltraStrong, depending on which is on sale, and never have an issue. The ultrasoft is like wiping with a down comforter (disclaimer: May cause confusion when sleeping drunk and naked in your bed).

The hyphens make the thread title appear to simply be "The..." from the main page.

You just have to set up a manual recording for 5 am every day.

Hyphens are correct, but the comma is incorrect. You treat an adjectival phrase (or phrasal adjective, if you prefer) the same as a single-word adjective. (Aha, see what I did there? My discussion of adjectival phrases even contains an adjectival phrase!)

No, it has a perfectly adequate amount of cowbell. Enough to enhance the song yet not so much that you end up fearing me.

True dat. I thought about the comma and decided to put it in to help with the readability of "thread thread". Had I known my grammar was going under the microscope I would have left it out.

Set it up to record one 5am sportscentre. Let's say for tomorrow. Then go into your pvr recording settings and select record series.

Informatlion Centre closed. Government can't afford such luxuries. Too many people complaining about high taxes and such.
I had friends visit last weekend do I did the typically touristy things you don't do when you live here. I went to Mosaika, a light show about the history of Canada that uses the parliament buildings as the backdrop for the "movie". Took a cruise of the Ottawa river and visited Rideau Hall (Govenor General's estate) to see the gardens. There is also the Mint. I wanted to go to Dow's Lake in the middle of town to rent a canoe, but we didn't have time. If you are here on a Sunday, there is a store in Gatineau that will loan you a bike for FREE!!

Good thread.
My question. What is the problem with my car? I have a 2004 Mazda 3 and it wasn't starting. The lights, radio and A/C all worked but the car wouldn't turn over. I was able to replace the battery and that seemed to help briefly as it is back to not starting. Any ideas? I think part of the issue is that the car doesn't get driven very often. Should I have driven it longer after replacing the battery?
