So why can't we hope Bryn loses his job on the biggest Flames radio station? Screw him, I hope he's fired tomorrow. I'm greedy and like listening to the Fan960. He's made that impossible to do.

Don't hate him as a person, and I hope he finds a job somewhere else on radio, but if not who cares he can go find another job like any other person that sucks at their job.

Toth is working as Sports director at Newstalk 1010 in Toronto and after a brief search, it looks like he is now doing freelance stuff on the side.

Loubo again today. Not that I am complaining. They should just hire him full time.

I love the Loubo 20/20 sports updates. He hits like 3 of the usual 7 or 8 update items, but gets fired up for those 3. In the update I heard, he talked for 30 seconds about the Jankowski NCAA decision!

Yup, I would like to hear Loubo in the afternoon. At least he has an informed opinion on the things he is talking about, and when he doesn't seems to ask insightful questions.

The Flames should have hired Loubo as an amateur scout.

Loubo is awesome in the afternoon and IMHO is much better suited to something like the afternoon host then he was to play-by-play.

His love for all sports really shines through and his enthusiasm is just awesome in that role.

Pair him with somebody like Steinberg and we would have a really good afternoon show that I would listen to everyday. I really hope they give him the role full time eventually because with Bryn on I just can't force myself to listen to more then a half hour, it just becomes painful.

Is Bryn on holidays? Lubo has been doing afternoons since middle of last week.

Bryn was on vacation, came back for a day and has been off the air since.

Not sure if something else is going on but Boomer mentioned they have been short staffed since a lot of people are sick.

I've heard Steinberg (briefly) do PBP for the roughnecks. Id say, from what Ive heard, that he would be the best suited for the flames PBP. He's very excitable and descriptive. Maybe he could even replace Peter Maher. Being descriptive is important for the TV PBP, but absolutely essential for radio. Has anyone heard the canuck's radio PBP?

I have to believe that Brad Curle is being groomed to replace Maher. That's the only reason Sportsnet would've gone with Rob Kerr over him when they replaced Loubo.

Please...NO. Amongst many other reasons, "Sweet victory" is a brutal call and worse when it sounds like it's coming from a 16 year old going through puberty.

It almost makes the Thrower version of Don't Stop Believing sound good.

Whether he is on the radar or not, Curt Kielback would be an awesome replacement for Mahrer.

Loubardias was fired by Sportsnet. Very poor approval numbers in spite of us at CP. He will not be hired by the Fan full time. Radio is a good spot for him, no doubt his favorite subject is himself. What better place to tell the world than a four hour shift. Sportsnet went with Kerr because Ken King made it happen.

Good lord no. Why are Flames broadcasters tormenting their fans with unlistenable PBP men? Curle calls an okay game he has an annoying pitch in his voice that gets tiresome.

Brad Curle is very, very good at what he's doing presently.

Yeah, and can he take Molberg with him when he goes. The morning show used to be somewhat fun, but now it is just painful to listen to.
