I foresee Sven being sent to Abbotsford at some point in time, and CP bringing down the entire Internet with sheer angst.

People burning their #47 jerseys, talking about how he's a bust, every trade proposal trying to get a superstar for CP's 2012-2013 whipping boy (I predict it will be Hudler) will include Baertchi and a 2nd as the toss-in.

I think there is going to be a really good rookie class next season. Sven stands as good of a chance as anyone, but the competition will be tight.

That is true.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Cervenka also eligible for the Calder trophy ?

Sven & Cervenka.

For once, I'm excited.

Which Flames rookie gets more points, Sven or Cervenka?

Which Swiss forward gets more points, Sven, Brunner or Nino?

Who gets more points, Sven or Yakupov?

Yes! Those (and other speculation threads) are important because Flames' management obviously consults with CP for ideas.

Good questions.

I say Cervenka gets more points than Sven.

Sven scores the most points out of the Swiss forwards you mentioned.

Yakupov will get more points (if he makes the team) only because he'll get ample playing time.

BTW, Cervenka is Calder eligible right?

Yes, we determined in another thread that Cervenka is eligible for the Calder.

I predict Cervenka gets more points than Sven.
I predict Nino scores the most out of the Swiss players.
I predict Sven scores more than Nail, because Yakupov will play 30 mins per night and end up getting destroyed by a grown-up halfway through the season and sits out the rest of the year with an 'upper body injury'.

It would be hilarious if Sven and Cervenka were both Calder finalists.

If that happened not only would the Flames be in the PO's..they would probably be top 4 in the conference.

I know we are a long shot at the playoffs to most now because of how we have finished the last 3 years but I actually do feel that the Flames could emerge as a top 4 team down the stretch. If Sutter was still behind the bench I would not at all have that thought and even though Hartley is unproven as the Flames bench boss at this point, I think his credentials and the way he wants to coach this upcoming season paired with the insane amount of offensive potential this team has on paper could mean at least a top 5 spot in the west for the Flames.

Really excited to see the season start...hurry up already with the CBA talks!
