hahaha...browsing through the threads was pretty funny. Here are two deals that I made early in my time here, one awesome, one horrible. Pretty funny looking back.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have aquired Jason Spezza in a deal that sees Sergei Samsanov shipped up of town before he put on a Pens Uniform. Also coming to Pittsburgh in the deal are veteran forward Chris Gratton, and top prospect Andrei Kostitsyn. Going the other way are Josef Stumpel and a 3rd round pick in 2006.

So Samanov, Stumpel, 3rd for Spezza, Gratton and Kostitsyn. Not too shabby.

And the bad one was just as bad the other way:

I sent Niklas Grossman, Trevor Daley, and a 2nd for Daryl Sydor.

Always good looking back on the good and bad.

A week ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs were looking in good shape to win the race for the final playoff spot and still have a shot at the crosby pick with San Jose's first. Over the last few games, though, that playoff spot slipped further and further, until GM Superfraggle finally got fed up and shipped his shot at Crosby in exchange for help in the playoff hunt. Gone are that pick, eurobum Daniel Sedin, detroit's 3rd round pick, and oldtimer Karl Dykhuis. Being welcomed into the Tdot, however, are overpaid, yet talented Josef Stumpel, young defensive star Scott Hannan, and $2.5 million cash. This move, while sacrificing much for the future was something Superfraggle felt he needed to do in order to keep the Leafs' playoff hopes strong.

Ouch. Forgot about this one. One of those deals that make sense at the time, but really hurt 7.5 years later.

We misplaced KG somewhere around a new girlfriend, a beat up BMW and a bunch of cheeseburgers. I am actually starting to think he joined THE Brian Holzinger in retirement...

This project went over really well (unlike the TOOL Power Rankings) and is something I would like to spearhead again in the fall before the season starts. I will be looking for volunteers and I know this is not the best time for you to be involved but it sure was a lot of fun!

Yeah I think it is a great way of comparing teams and identifying where some squads are weak.

Tampa management is pleased to annouce the acquisition of the Charismatic Rico Fata along with a 3rd Round Pick In 2006.

Heading to the Big Apple is Manny Malhotra.

The deal appeared to have filled a need in New York while Tampa gains more pieces to build with.

Pens are pleased to announce that they have agreed to terms with undrafted goalie Jonathan Quick minutes before the start of the NHL entry draft where Quick was drafted in the 3rd round by the Los Angeles Kings 72nd overall.

GM Goffie was pleased to ink Quick who he feels can develop into a CPHL calibre goalie.

GM Goffie had this to say:
"We are pleased to bring a quality young goalie like Quick aboard and we feel with the depth we have between the pipes he will be able to take his time and develop inmto teh goalie we feel he can be."
