You guys are taking the wrong view on this game. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

1 point given up all game. Defense did something right no matter how bad the offense was.

I enjoyed that- been a long time since we've had a game like that. The defender in me is happy.

It's very nice to finally have a pass rush. Been good in both games so far.

Say what you want but a win is a win. Defenses did play well- neither QB had much time at all. Next week against BC will be a better measuring stick-. The offense will have to be much better of course.

Are you forgetting about yesterday? I hadn't laughed that bloody hard in a long time as that Calgary offense was downright atrocious, if it was not for Larry Taylor that game would have been a major blowout. Tonight was really bad too.

J.C. Sherritt is one helluva of a player. A pure tackling machine. I love watching him play.

I would say Rey Willams and Jamall Johnson are better than him right now with him right behind at #3, if he goes on to a have season that has everyone talking than he would be the new #1 LB in the CFL.

This reminds me of what was going on with the Riders early last season under Greg Marshall.

A prominent CFL agent says strife is brewing inside the Ticat locker room.
In an interview with the Team 990 radio station in Montreal on Wednesday morning, Darren Gill said relationship between Ticat head coach George Cortez and defensive coordinator Casey Creehan is already strained and that veteran players are not enjoying life under Cortez.


“I'm not going to tell you that there's major problems in that locker room but they are certainly starting,” Gill said, who represents several Ticats. “George Cortez is not known as a player's coach and that's been known from day one. He's not brought the veterans on his side and it's made it very difficult for him to try and get that team on the right page.”

“There's been some pretty well known confrontations in that team's locker room between George Cortez and defensive coordinator Casey Creehan,” Gill said. “They're not on the same page.”

“I was pretty much flabbergasted when somebody told me that Casey and I supposedly had a rift. I said, 'really, about what?'” Cortez said. “That's so far out left field."

“If players were feeling alienated, they would come to talk to me,” Cortez said. “From time to time, everybody is unhappy about something and it's inevitable that they'll come talk to me about it.”

“I'm not telling you this team is in trouble but there's certainly some early signs that they are in trouble,” he said.

“I have no idea where it comes from,” Cortez said. “I am going to call Darren though.”

For all the talk about the Stamps lack of a return game prior to Larry Taylor, I'm not sure it could be as bad as this:

Jason Armstead was the last Roughrider to return a punt for a touchdown. Armstead returned a punt 90 yards for touchdown on July 20, 2007, during a 21-20 loss to the Edmonton Eskimos.

The last kickoff returned by a Rider for a TD took place on June 25, 2005. Corey Holmes returned a kickoff 81 yards against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Roughriders defeated the Blue Bombers 42-15.
