Beginning of Act 4 inferno, I would kill hundreds of the swarm, and move on with 2 or 3 minutes still to go with it in full effect. There can be a downside to that length though... your force armour wears off after two minutes so at some point you can kill quick, but you are a sitting duck if hit!

Brilliant !!!! It cut my run down by half. The only thing it didn't melt was the butcher.. I kept the hydra and took out force weapon since I was still melting people it didn't hurt me much. Plus on the butcher i can set hydras to help kill the bucker. Only problem I had with Archon was i would start tanking everything. Some elites explode when they are die and that killed me a time or two haha.. Good Tip Shawnski.

Jar of Souls will never be the same for you! Sit in the middle and spin like a fast clock....

I have to be careful with my tips that I post... I think Blizzards motto is "If you like it, we will nerf it" so I don't want them catching on to anything that works.

Or you click the jar and leave the room , find the elite , kill said elite, and go back and break the jar without fighting the skeletons ??? Yes I still get all the rare drops.

Does anyone know how elemental resists work? I prefer Diablo 2 method of just having a % of damage reduction on your characters attributes - one which would decrease base on the difficulty you were on.
If I have 300 resist on a given element, what does that actually translate to? What number would give you immunity on a given difficulty?

Hover over the resist line in your tooltip, and it will tell you how effective a given resist is..

Goblin farming can get boring but we run with 4 people each in their own game and when someone gets a goblin everyone joins. There is very little downtime doing it this way.
If i'm playing by myself I just run the Act 1 Champ pack loop.

I have no idea why anyone would spend real money on items or gold. How does that give you any sense of accomplishment? Why not just drop a couple thousand, outfit your character in all-uber gear, take a screenshot, and then quit, if all you want is the "best stuff" for some esoteric reason.
I buy stuff from the gold auction house, but that is with gold I have earned in the game. Clearing out Inferno Act I takes a couple hours with my Wizard, and a little longer with my Monk, but soon enough I'll have the gear to be farming in Act II. If I get to Act IV in a few months, what's the hurry? Diablo II was played for years; why rush?

On another note, I really like the frantic clickfest of being a glass cannon style wizard. I don't use the cheezy hydra anymore, just Meteors and Arcane Orbs, with lots and lots of running around like a homicidal coke fiend, freezing dudes, then blowing them the hell up. Sweet!

I also buy stuff on the RMAH with proceeds of stuff I have sold on the RMAH. It is essentially the same thing, if you think about it, but gives you 10 more auction slots.

If I do decide to sell a big money item, instead of stuff for $5 here and there, anyone know how I make sure those funds go into paypal rather than my battle.net balance? I can't seem to figure it out, but have attached both my paypal and a credit card to my account.

Yah that makes sense, as you're getting a net benefit. I'm sure if I find a godly item, I'll probably sell it for money as well - I just don't get the people that are gearing up and *spending* their real money to circumvent the whole point of the game, which is to acquire loot.

Actually, I do understand - it's partly a status thing. And partly an instant gratification thing.

at the bottom of RMAH sell screen when your placing an item for sell.. there is a place to select b-net balance or Paypal auction...

I have been selling some of the gloves I have crafted that I don't think are all that great on the RMAH... listing for 1.99 with a BIN of 2.49-4.75 . I have sold about 35 bucks worth in the last 3 days.

I got Nat's shadow there. Now I only need the Mark for the complete 5 peice set. If I want the awesome 4-peice set bonus now, I need to use the 500dps 1 hander with no socket, which costs me about 10k dps.
