I often double bag my fish and meat from the butcher to prevent the juices from getting all over the rest of my food. Maybe it's time to add a saran wrap ban and ensure all butcher goods are vacuum packed??
*Double bag as in putting the meat and fish in it's own bag before putting it in the bag with the rest of the food.

I have a special one that I bought from M&M Meats. It's insulated with reflective material on the inside. It's machine washable.

I've got extra from 5 years ago, you can have some of mine.
Seriously, I double bag my garbage, and I can't make a dent. But I saved them early on cause I was green early on.
Like from 1999

I dont mind these bans if they are done province wide, but I dont like cities being able to do things like this unilaterally. There has to be a limit to a cities power.
I just came back from vacation and none of the grocery stores, or gift shops in the area gave out plastic bags, just brown paper bags all with handles.

And i'm way behind, don't worry. This is fun. Harper and cpc is going out on their face, and we're banning plastic bags in 3 years.
But i want you to be morally correct.

I don't have a problem with them banning the bags except that I use them for garbage. The issue is that apartment buildings don't have the green bins - which is for organic waste - so I have to throw all that sort of stuff in the "regular" garbage. I recycle as much as I can but the organic waste adds up quick.

About the way you abandoned the other thread cause too many good people were making to many good points.
And for fun, you've made it my duty to take away plastic bags in Calgary in two years. I'm going to ask it to be the BringBackShantz bylaw.

At least at the places I shop, they have small plastic bags specifically for meat products. They bag the meat in those and then put it in with the rest of the stuff in the reusable bag. I've never had an issue with cross contamination.

1) I'm still in the other thread, and do you honestly think "You're signature says you're cool, so you're a loser" is a good point?
2) Can you not read? Do you not understand that i'd be in favour of a plastic bag ban?

isn't there a way to make bio-degradable plastic bags? you see all sorts of green plastic products around now, how hard and/or more expensive would it be to apply that process to grocery bags?

Awesome!!!
1) It proves your not even paying attention. That wasn't me. That was Moncton.
2) Great, we agree on something! Can we work together to do it with Nenshi this year? I know his quartermaster is around here somewhere.

Considering that you all resorted to extreme hyperbole not to mention a completely off-topic argument, would you blame anyone for leaving the other thread?
That plus it was extremely hard to figure out what the hell you were trying to say. I still don't get it.

Oh, so "too many people" is just you?
Okay, got it!
Also, "too many good points" means ignore the stated facts in an aticle and read between the lines to the worst possible concluseion.
Got it!

I'm sorry, but this honestly reads like an acid trip.
Actually, your entire day's worth of posts read like that for the most part.
