So guys, how many of you guys are gonna try and take advantage of the RMAH when it eventually goes up?
To be honest, I'll probably be trying to sell some #### on their, and who knows, maybe even buy some stuff on their as well. I wouldn't be surprised if some people are witholding certain items as well till it hits. I know alot of people currently making some nice cash selling gold for real money, and items, though I'm always sorta scared I'll get scammed or something.
I won't be purchasing anything. After you've completed the game, I don't see any added value in spending more money on an item that won't make the game any better. Do you buy something so you can finish the game faster?
They'll have to add more features to the game to make it worth while. Things like PVP and an expansion would get people spending their money.
I'm sure some people will spend real money on it but I won't be one of them.

Managed to get the game installed finally, after a 2 hour wait for a real person at Blizz. Go to play...and they are having problems with the Authentication servers.
What was their big problem with having an offline mode again?

They claim its about duped/faked items, i find it hard to believe. This internet required nonsense is a stupid fad that i hope doesnt take off. I cant believe Blizzard thought it would be a good idea.
"Lets make a game, that relys on our servers to play, and if there is a problem, "oh well" its not our fault"
I'd say the no offline is actually mainly due to piracy than ^, forcing people to log into the servers will make it a lot tougher for the game to be pirated and will force people to have paid.
Duped items have always been a problem in Diablo, that really made me wonder about this RMAH..
I guess if they cleared out a bunch already that is a plus, and they can get a handle on it. But what happens if you drop 50 bucks IRL on a new wicked sword, only to have Blizzard delete it?
How can they prove you didn't arrange the selling of this duped item via IM's away from the battle.net server? How can they prove you did?
It is a sticky situation, and I predict a huge headache.

That makes pretty much zero sense. More likely a glitch on Blizzard's end.
What do you mean zero sense? you mean its not possible for someone to log into your account that you can't even log into because the servers were down and steal your stuff? Its possible I'm a hacker for a living and do this type of thing all the time.

Who said it wasn't possible? He just said it was more likely that Blizzard f'd up than a team of hackers relieved virtual characters of virtual gear, and didn't even leave a business card.
I admit that I'm not too up on how they expect online only to solve all the issues with duping. I can see it fixing quite a few, but the thing I've been wondering is, couldn't they just make it so that there is no way your offline character can get online?
You could start an offline character, and that would be the only way that character could be played. You couldn't transfer it to an "online" status or anything like that? Wouldn't something like that work and be simple enough?

That's how it works for Hardcore. Hardcore has a separate stash from your Normal characters, separate AH, separate everything. Can't join games that aren't Hardcore too. No reason I can see why they couldn't have partitioned the game the same way for offline only characters.
If you want to farm some gold quickly, on Nightmare of all places, the mission where you meet the scoundrel and continue to get the 2nd shard will net you about 15K +/- in about 10 minutes. About 90K in 1 HR. It's not the greatest, but it helps out so in a few hours you can actually afford an actual decent weapon or two to make Inferno a bit less difficult.

Green Text.
Anyway Inferno is just stupid, I finally beat Magdah and got my crappy drops since I didn't have any nephalem valor cause champ packs are crazy. Oh well I like a good challenge.
