Default LF Skate Sharpening in Somerset area

with the departure of Professional Skate I'm looking for recomendations on the best place to get your blades sharpened in the Somerset area.

Also if anyone know where I can take my lawnmower blade to have an edge put back on it.

Thanks,

recommendations for skate sharpening would be No Sweat Esporta on Heritage and Macleod (they are right by the Co-Op Liquor store) Todd does a good job.

Next would be Source for sports MacLeaod and 90th.

As for your mower blade, there used to be a small engine place on southland and horton Road - I'd try there. I also think most equipment rental shops do it as well.

Lastly, you can get an attachement for your dremel tool and do it yourself.

Blades Skate Sharpening 403-874-0748. At South Fish Creek between the original 2 rinks. $7. Can't go wrong. 2km from Somerset. Call first though as Summer hours are reduced.

Play it again sports. It's in the strip mall by the tim hortons across the street from the Shawnessy YMCA. They do a great job and within five minutes every time. $5 and they will do 5/8 if you want and not look at you like you're crazy.

They can be hit and miss imo. It depends who you get I guess. The guy at Blades is a seasoned veteran and gives your skates the barber shop treatment. I would also say that Skillz does a good job a little further out in Canyon Meadows. All of the above are better than Sport Check though Waste of time.....I think Skillz may only sharpen for members only now?? Haven't been there is over 6 months but that is what I heard?

Not if you want a good sharpening.

I do recommend Todd though. He always does an awesome job on my skates.
