3. Can't trust network TV to get involved in a new series again, they just don't commit.

Their clothing looks really clean fresh and newly manufactured. Wouldn't they be wearing rags after 15 years due to no clothing factories.

Or did everyone become an expert in leather fasion and using foot peddled sewing machines.

This, I had such hope when i heard about this, then I watched the trailer and everyone was clean and neat...........

I remember The Event had a pretty sick trailer in the summer before it flopped.

Hard to trust network shows these days. I will give this one a look because Favreau and Abrams are attached.

I can't comment on the show as a whole as I stopped watching it after about 6 episodes, but those 6 episodes were beyond terrible. I heard it does get interesting near the end, but if you can't get an audience early on because of terrible acting, bad story lines, etc. then your show is doomed to fail.

This show will last a season then become cancelled.

Well, this thread isn't about The Event, but I disagree on every point you mentioned about it. I liked the story, had no issue with the acting and it did get better and better.

There were hit and miss parts about the Event. But on the whole, I thought it was pretty average.

I gave it a good go, maybe 10-12 episodes, but found it to be a bit of a chore to watch so when that happens, I usually stop.
