My only pointer is this: don't change who you are.
You're young. You'll find the right one, don't worry. Whether you are looking for a one night stand, or a lifetime partner, CHILL OUT.
If you spend all your time worrying about how to attract a woman, you will never attract a woman.
Oh, and the last thing- if you change just to attract someone, and that's not really the REAL you, then what will you do on the second date? I highly suggest taking it easy and being yourself. If/when you find a relationship, that's the only way it will succeed.

At 22, I would just focus on having a good time and not worry about women. Life is too short. Enjoy these years.

Disregard women, acquire income. It works every time.

Hahaha... Playing guitar is such a deal closer, eh? When I was in university in the early to mid 90s my thing was playing guitar and songwriting. I wrote the same song for around a dozen different girls. Every time I did it was like they were drinking lemon gin. The panties just fell right off.

for a 22 year old the answer is simple, cougars, you don't have to work to hard and they will pay for your drinks.

Do you have a friend that is good with women? If yes, hang out with him, and observe.
Also, do not get paralyzed by beauty, and do not place a woman you don't know on a pedestal in your mind. Remember - she poops.
If you have a sense of humor, bust their balls and make fun of them a bit. It's fun, it releases tension and shows you're not intimidated.

It's all about confidence.
You can get it by going to the gym... the physical part is now out of the way. Women love guys who are in shape, at the very least. This should be priority number one for anyone, as it means you speak to women without actually saying a word to them.
When you're out, go with your bros. No chick likes a creepy dude trying to score by himself. But don't go out with more than 2-3 bros... chicks get turned off by big groups of guys.
Next, don't give too much attention to a chick when you first see them. When you lock eyes with her for the first time, give a little smile and then walk away and continue about your own business. That's it. You'll know her intentions by the way she reacts to that. This gives you the opportunity to talk to her later on in the evening.
The next step is rejection - accept it. Here's the scoop: just approach a woman and talk to her. Make her laugh. Just be yourself. it's the easiest and most natural way. If you get rejected, that's not a bad thing at all... it's her loss. Worst case scenario is that she doesn't talk to you again, and so what if that happens? You already weren't talking to her before. Rejection is completely overrated. Recognizing this means that your confidence is where it needs to be.
Lastly, make a woman laugh. Be funny. Show confidence and be funny, but do it within the limits of your own personality in order to avoid awkwardness. Tickling a woman's funny bone greatly increases the chances of them tickling your man bone later.
That's all there is to it.
By the way, don't buy a girl a drink or anything like that. If you're confident, you'll never have to spend money on a chick at a bar. Maybe later on the evening as a gesture of being nice... but that's it.
ADDED: Play guitar, or some instrument. It's a sick skill to have. Chicks hugely dig this.

I don't know about this...
What if the "real you" is simply unattractive?
This is not to say that you should lie or put on a complete act, but if someone has some unattractive traits that they are broadcasting, I don't think there is any harm in identifying those traits, and putting the effort in to change those things (eg: bad body language, needy behavior etc.).

Dance classes.
1. Dance classes are full of single women, and not very many men.
2. Dance skills will serve you well in life, allowing you to demonstrate that you are fun and confident

Note to Vlad: if you were playing the skin flute, those weren't women.
