I think it's good for the EPL to have a team win who hasn't won since 68.

Sadly tho that team is Man City who are spending as much as the other big clubs, if not more.

If I was a fan of EPL living in a city supporting a side like Wolverton how could I possibly care? Ah well.

As much as I'm dissapointed that was fantastic drama.

I agree.

But I was enjoying watching the City fans sobbing.

City more than deserve this over the course of the entire season.
Manchester United have at least some sembelance of building a team over time bringing in youth and doing things that somewhat resemble the "right way."

####ty bought every guy, whined when they had spent a ton of money and weren't handed wins, went out and spent more money, whined some more and then lucked into the win at the end because of QPR, not their own play.

####ty winning shows that there is no point in actually building a team and instead lets see who has the biggest bank roll at the start of the year, declare them the winner and go home.

So happy the gunners did it. Now we need to lock up RVP.

What a finish to the season.

I'll have to defend moon to some extent here. I work with a couple guys who are from England and Wales, and are huge EPL fans. They both really dislike Man City for the reasons moons talking about.

Anywho.

Only my team or the teams that have been doing it all along can spend money! How dare these teams use their new resources to win!

^ Amen to that.

While I'm no fan of Man City, I think that United fans crying foul is a little hard to take. United's wage bill for 2010 was £2 million less than City's and £40 million more in 2009. I think that it is fair that City is only playing catch up. Personally I don't begrudge them for that. What I don't like is that what used to be a decent competitive league (20+ years ago) has descended into a dash for cash - with Chelsea, City and United leading the way.

about 10x more

and it's a different culture over there, they do care, each team has different goals

Wolves got relegated and we're a failure, but for teams like QPR staying up was a 'winning' season this year

I may be wrong but based on your responses in this thread it seems like this may be directed at me.

I am not a Manchester United fan.

If this is directed at someone else then ignore it.

it's a completely different culture

fans feel much less entitled than in North America

there are teams in League 1 and the Championship that get 30,000+ for their home games

It is/was a general comment. My feelings about United's 'global' fanbase are known (and despised) here.
