Econo lot is great except when it's "full", which seems to be every time I want to use it. Including yesterday, with the airport parking truck blocking the entrance, even though I could see at least a few spots I could park in. I, as seems to always be the case, parked in P2, which is an extra $20 per week, and $2/day after that.

This should probably be in the WRGMGs thread. I hope they're making a new econo lot with all the construction traffic.

They're planning on expanding the Economy Lot by another ~1300 stalls this year. There's also plans for a ~2500 Stall parking lot in the near future.

Depends who you work for, a lot of companies make their employees pay for the parking.

Awesome! I was going to say something to shame the fools but I was tired from the trip so decided not to bother either time. Hope they got what they deserved (ie full parking fare + a fine in excess of fare!).

That's correct. Unfortunately for me, a little while ago, stayed 8 days plus 9min past midnight and was dinged a total $63.

Two cab rides would have cost me a total of $142+tip. That economy lot is in a pretty good location, especially if you are coming from Deerfoot. Do allow yourself some time to actually find a spot as you meander through the lot, while dodging employees walking to work from their employee lot.
