Drogba made a great pass on that play. Was quick about the move, the defense was expecting him to turn around and make a run. I hate Drogba, but that was a great pass!

This is the first Chelsea match I have watched in any length for a long time, when did Drogba become such an actor? The calls going his way have sealed the win

Good for Chelsea.
Stereotype busting game for myself. Italians aren't the only clubs that dive (I know that all clubs dive but this was a stereotype)

Because Chelsea is at home. That's an advantage.

Home away go out the window in extra time it should be the same for both teams. its kind of moot now since Napoli were crap for AET and by no means am i a Chelsea fan

Really? You must not have watched Chelsea at any time during the past 8 seasons. Drogba has been a diving cheat for as long as I can remember.

How can it be out the window when it's still being played at someone's home field?

After 180 minutes the luck of the draw for home field has to come into it or in this instance winning your group. its a huge advantage over 30 minutes to have that away goal if theres an away goal for extra time. More of an advantage than home field in my opinion.

Probably one of the biggest reasons I hate watching Chelsea play. They're probably one of the best clubs in the world but I find it hard to watch their games because of how much Drogba dives. He's even worse that Cristiano Ronaldo.

True an away goal counting essentially 1.5 goals might be too strong but no away goal is too advantageous for the home team. But there's nothing in between.
Home being the group winner is only for this round.. not deeper rounds.
What do you think of after 180 minutes.. a 3rd game at a neutral venue?
BTW in the Toronto-LA game tonight there is no away goals once extra time starts.

Silence you. Bayern have a shot, although I'd rather Bayern play Barca than Madrid at this point.

The away goal was put in place to spur offence by the away team and as once you reach extra-time you need to score, the motivation is there for both sides and this renders the rule unnecessary.

Haha...I agree with the Barca/Chelsea & Madrid/Munich semi finals and your Madrid/Barca finals...but even if Madrid is leading the Spanish League, there's no way they can beat Barca in a Cup Final.

I'm hoping Benfica pull out the win.
If Chelsea play like they did this weekend they should get killed.
