No, you can just order the sandwich on the terminal in front and then stand in line until they call whatever name you put in.

A footlong in the standard variety is easily good for 2 meals.

Buy a lumberjack version, and you can feed a hockey team with it.

But it is not the quantity, it is the ingredient quality. Turkey isn't processed, it is sliced breast, same with the roast beef. Also you get real cheeses. Provolone, Gouda, cheddar, Swiss, no processed types. Seriously do it!

Plymouth Rock sub:

Lettuce
Tomato
Havarti
Turkey Breast
Mayo
Heaps of cranberry sauce

Tell them to add cucumber to it, and you will jazz in your pants, and never step foot in Subway or Mr. Sub again.

Lloyd Dobler: I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

I gave up sandwiches for Lent and this thread is killing me. You all may be reading about a murder spree soon.
Well, hold on there, I'd stab my mom in the face for a lot of things, but a sandwich?

Get your elbows up and dont take no for an answer! The great thing about kids is that they still have soft, developing skulls that do less damage to your elbows.

I'm wildly out of touch with Calgary's food scene, but the best sandwich I ever had here was at Peppinos in Kensington.

Yeah, should a mentioned that. Go either before 11 or after 1. They arent as quick as the regular sub shops, and the lunch rush can be a bitch.

But, they will usually have a few lumberjack subs pre-made and wrapped on the shelf. Just look for the thing that looks bi-sected like a loaf of bread stuffed with 8 pounds of meat.

It is official subway policy to ignore all requests for just a little lettuce.

I'd rather have an egg-salad sandwich than one of those meat ones with almost no meat. Egg-salad sandwiches are really good.

Yes, these are unbelievable. That olive tapenade they put on it is unreal.

Peppino's in Kensington makes a good prosciutto sandwich too.

Love egg salad, used to get chirped by my buddies back in JH over it because it'd reak up my locker. Agreed that its something that needs to be made at home base though.

God, last Friday, when I went home, I really wanted an egg-salad sandwich. And I was just obsessing about it and I was like; "Man, I'm gonna make one of those."

So Saturday I went out and I got, like, a dozen eggs...and I boiled them all and then I just...I spent, I don't know, probably three hours...like, three-and-a-half hours making...you know, the mayonnaise and the onions and paprika...and, you know, all the accoutrement. And then, by the time I was done...I just really didn't feel like eating it.

...and I didn't have any bread.

It is. It's now in the office building across the street from MEC on the other side of 8th or whatever street it is that goes under the tracks.

Everything good you remember about the 1st street location moved, its the same place, same food, same old school deli case, etc.
