I didn't know BH had closed down. Seems BK always has a hard time in Calgary, it disappeared once before. Who knows.

What happened to BK in this city?
Macleod Tr location gone, 16th ave gone, Bankers Hall downtown.. gone. What's left? Crowfoot in the NW and the one off Barlow in the NE?
|
There's one in the SE in Forest Lawn on 17th Ave near 52nd St.

I still remember the Burger King at Northland Mall that turned into Cheesecake and Cheesecake eventually closed too.
But yeah, there are no enough locations of BK. It's a vastly superior restaurant to McDonalds and it's a shame there aren't enough.
People don't know about the King Deals. Every day, there is a different sandwich that is only $2. Whoppers are on Wednesday. I get two flamebroiled burgers for $4 and change every now and then.
Their poutine is great, and they have some great desserts too.

Never much liked the King. Their breakfast is really good though (awesome Hashbrowns).

If you like a burger heated up in a microwave. I think BK is as bad as Rotten Ronnies and most other fast food joints.
Burger Inn ftw

That has remained a Cheesecake Cafe since it re-opened, it never closed.

The spelling in the title reminded me of the Family Guy - Cool Whip - segment.

I totally forgot that Burger King existed. I pretty much never see any of them around here.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I was in the BK in Huddersfield a few years back. Ordered my burger, heard ping ping ping, then whooooooooosh....Beeep, and the guy came out with my burger.
Burger declined.

If you drive by, it is going through some changes. It is going to reopen under some new name, but same menu.

Well, it's a completely different franchise. They didn't accept a Cheescake Cafe gift card I had - I was told to use it at the Macleod Trail location.
Driving by there the other day, I see that they also finally changed its name to Big Al's something or other...

Burger King is dogfood (IMO) - The Shawnessy location is still around and it seems to be just as busy as McDs and Wendys. Although gourmet food in Shawnessy is Eastside Marios, so it does make sense.

I see we're getting a Fatburger, Edo, Opa and a few others in that food mall going-up just east of McLeod Trail and 162nd.
