Even Murray hasn't won a slam yet.

On another note, I don't think Murray will ever win a slam...but that's an opinion for another time!

Has he done anything impressive in a real tournament to justify that?

He had a lucky run to the 3rd round(?) last year in one major if I remember correctly but didn't he go out early in the other ones?

It seems like every time I see him playing it is in tournaments where the top guy is ranked 10-15th.

He was injured most of the season.

He hasn't proven himself yet and i don't think he has the game to win a slam for at least 3 years.

But just looking at the tools, he'll be top 10 for sure.

I think he can be a top 15-20 player. I don't know about the GS part. It would be awfully hard and a lot of things would really need to go Raonic's way. I do think the sky is the limit for the Raonic, baring any serious injuries. He's got a solid demeanour on the court, takes criticism well and is always willing to improve his game. He's got a great coach in Blanco too. However, as GirlySports mentioned, he's playing at a time where Nadal and Djokovic don't appear to be slowing down any soon.

He made it to the round of 16 last year at the Aussie Open and looked like he was going to upset David Ferrer, but just didn't have enough gas left in the tank. In Wimbledon, he was hurt, I believe?

I was a little floored when I heard the commentators make that comment about him. Then they started to lose a bit of credibility with me when they said Raonic was born in Bosnia, which is located in Montenegro.

Was a bit of a nervous looking finish but that guy shouldn't beat him and he didn't. On to a real challenge. Might be geezer's but they will give him a hard match.

Wouldn't worry too much about the Big 3 blocking Raonic's way forever...Fed's still awesome but isn't always dialed into every match like he was 5 years ago. Rafa and Djoker's excessively physical style will have them in body casts sooner rather than later. In fact I wouldn't be all that surprised if Rafa retired before Fed did.

A possible GS contender for Canada to call its own? Maybe not realistic today but watching Milos grow up is going to be some fun (and the expanded tennis coverage on Sportsnet/TSN is just icing on the cake).

Roddick is the guy who derailed him last year when he looked almost unstoppable for those two US tournaments though, hasn't won anything big in a really long time but he's always good on hard court with his serve.

It will definitely be live on tv, if Roddick it'll be an early match, if Hewitt it's definitely a night match which means 2am for us

Highly doubt it, it's still too early. But he does have potential to win a GS or two in his career. Perhaps more. For now I think, his goal should be to enter the top 10. But he's got time on his side, and he can only improve.

How dominant Nadal, Federer and Djokovic have been shows the fact that since 2005 only two other players won a Grand Slam. Safin in 05, and Del Potro in 2009. That means in the last 6 years, out of 24 possible GS, 22 of them have been won by either Rafa, Nole or Federer. Expecting Milos to win it next year is stretching it. However, expecting a title in say 2-3 years is pretty realistic.
