Not to defend cocaine here, but those issues she has asthetically aren't because of doing blow. That would likely be crack or meth, although I doubt she does meth.

I have no doubt that she does coke which with excessive use will batter the body.
But crack would make sense too, maybe she's scratched her hands up like that trying to get at the bugs crawling under her skin.
Hmm.... I've studied a lot of psychology and know a fair amount about drug addictions, the emaciated look and general tone of her skin makes me think it's a definite possibility. Something she's doing is horribly unhealthy, either the worst diet possible plus cocaine or she really is smoking crack.

Maybe I feel sorry for the girl, I think she's fairly talented as an actress and its all wasting away, and I don't think that as much as we like to we can blame her completely, there are a lot of other people that need to line up and take the blame. Her mother seems like a horrible person, she's too busy partying and doesn't seem to want to grow up and act like a mother because her daughters her gravy train. Want to know why she's probably broke, look at the corpses she's dragging around. Her dads a complete drug addict, but he keeps calling for her to get help, but I'm not sure if he's doing it to help her, or to get the movie rights and play the hero.
Maybe she's medicating to hide abandonment issues, or even darker mental issues. but I look at the track record with the whole drinking and drunken driving thing, the lesbian fling, her really self destructive dive into the hard partying hard drug scene.
I blame the judges who keep letting her go, and keep letting her walk away from her probation without getting serious help, and lets be honest, half of these hollywood rehab centers are just hotels with the occasional lecture.
We make a lot of fun of Britney Spears and she was certainly on the same path. But you have to give her dad credit, he stepped in and took control and we don't hear about her making the bad decisions anymore, we don't see her partying anymore, we don't see her getting pulled out of her house in an ambulance anymore, because somebody actually showed that they give a crap.
While people have to take personal responsibility for their addictions, at some point somebody has got to reach out and grab her and save her life, or we'll be reading about the death of a young fairly talented action, and we'll shake our heads and think its a shame that nobody loved her enough to make her stop. And she didn't feel loved enough to stop.
Its a joke, and its sad, and really every parent that pushes their kid into acting or dancing or singing or whatever should force their kids to watch Lindsay Lohan's disintegration and ask themselves if their strong enough to be a parent and not an enabler.
