Memo to Sports Net: Make your audio in sync with the play
I'm getting real sick of Kerr calling goals and saves before they actually happen. Is it that hard?

When I've been watching highlights of games I've missed/listened to on the radio, I've noticed recently that Kerr was calling things from the future. I always thought it was my computer be screwy or something. So I guess my computer is fine haha

If you notice, its just the main camera that is out of sync...when they zoom in to player with a different camera, that player is a split second ahead of where you last saw him. Also, when the camera switches back to the main camera, the player is that split second behind where you last saw him.
I wouldnt be surprised if its got something to do with trying to stablize those virtual glass ads with that main camera, that were bouncing around the first few games.
Whatever the reason, very annoying, especially with Kerr proclaiming the future.

He doesn't need anything more to increase Kerr's ego. Kerr "Predicting the future" should continue to be a secret...

Kerr called that goal a good second before it went in.

I tend to defend media and give them the benefit of the doubt on stuff like this, but it's been going on for a few games now. It's plain and simple, UNACCEPTABLE!
Sportsnet can be so bush sometimes.

Sportsnet can be so bush all the time.

every network will intentionally have a half second delay on the video so the play by play guy is calling the play exactly as it happens, but sportsnet is a little extreme

Sportsnet is the worst managed Sports channel in the world.
Maybe they'll figure out how to use more than the rear speakers soon too.

I'm not suggesting at all the Saddledome is a loud rink, but the difference in the way CBC and TSN use crowd noise is amazing.

FYI - If you use HDMI to hook up your HDTV there can be latency... sometimes made worse if you hook it through a digital tuner. Try a component cable, it *MIGHT* make a difference.

Yeah the dome is usually pretty quiet, but SN makes it sound even more quiet with how they block out crowd noise. TSN is the best at using crowd noise to make the game feel more exciting.

THANK YOU!
It's been driving me nuts all year. I watch on Gamecenter... so I always had the assumption that it was internet issues. But, I realized a couple days ago that this'd ONLY happen on Sportsnet games.
So glad it's not just me
