I spent three years smoking marijuana in the Walmart parking lot behind Ernest Manning. So I either worked at Walmart or was a student at Manning. I guess I'll never be sure either way.

Karbashewski was awesome. I had him for Physics 30, every single test he gave me I aced. I walked into the final with a solid 100% average in the class. Norm Sigalet and Rex Rainsforth were two teachers I actually kept up with until they retired. Norm was the best.
Good things are happening.

I remember in grade 10 design class, I made a stupid error in CAD and Rainsforth threatened me by saying (and I quote and I still remember this well, 10 years later) "Do I have to rip your arm off and beat you with the bloody end?" My marks shot up after that. Great teacher, wrote me my first reference letter, but more than a little unorthodox at times.
And they were still using the warpath chant when my younger brother graduated in 2008, AFAIK.

That sounds like him for sure. He definitely made a big impression on me. I took that design class as well. Still loved Sigalet's ELT class more. I learned things in grade 10 of that class that I relearned in 3rd year electrical engineering.

I graduate from Aberhart in '06.
Best Memory: Playing rubgy.
Worst Memory: I don't really have one.
Also, my father, Bruce Gillespie, has been teaching at St. Marys for a long time. Some of you probably know him.

Not many private school kids here haha. Did anyone go to Calgary Christian School or Master's Academy & College?

The english teacher is escaping my mind right now, but did he remind you of a smug Mr. Bean? had the funny smell and elbow-pad stitching on his 1970's brown suits?

I went to Master's Academy for 3 years, but got out once I realized how little I agreed with Christianity.
