Now the real work begins.
Very telling that they use that term at this point, admitting that the camping/squatting was more of a game/stunt than a legitimate means to an end.
I said it before; it's more work to travel to the core every day and have reoccurring protest than it is to sit in a tent. Camping is fun, that's why people do it. But leaving the house every day to make "protesting" your routine take a lot more commitment and work.
So it'll be interesting to see if they follow through. I imagine we'll have a handful of "flashmob" (sidebar, fata hate that term) activities in the coming weeks before this group burns itself out and moves onto the next great tragedy of the world.

They assume we are unemployed, because of things like Cory having 10 days off in a row. Never mind the 60 in a row he worked before that.
Time management skills not their forte.

Lol their whole reaction to you having the judgment before they did is a microcosm of their entire movement (and lives probably).
Something happened that they didn't understand, so they immediately assumed that it was something nefarious. They didn't get something they had no reason to expect and they assumed it was the system acting against them.

FL, if Cory and yourself are in fact doing the watusi I'll be pulling what little political support I would otherwise offer. That dance is unconscionable!

When the city needs to get a hold of me for some reason, they usually send me a letter. It must be tough for the occupy people when they don't have a mailbox.

That might have been the one I zapped. The only unacceptable crime on that blog is being boring. Grow some originality. if that wasn't you, I have already posted a ridiculous response which I am sure you will enjoy.
I'm dusting off my disused CP profile here to say thanks for the fascination that keeps traffic on my site so high! Warm welcomes to you all!
For the record, some of us have always had a job, never camped at OP and still believe that the world needs change, big time.
I know that cynicism is a well known Calgarian trait and that it is easier to mock and be negative than to think and be positive. So far the city hasn't filed an injunction against the blog, so after Friday, when no one has a camp to obsess about, we will still be doing our thing. So if you can do better than "get a job and take a shower" I would absolutely love to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions on the issues that affect you and I.
Come on... it's the internet. Even if I didn't shower today you won't be able to smell me!

You didn't zap mine, if we're talking about the same blog. I'm still waiting to see something credible come out of the Occupy movement. So far it's been extremely disappointing.

Tell me about it! Sorry, there are so many anonymi it's hard to know who's who.
So what on the blog is not credible? What have you read? Just curious. What I find I get on the blog a lot is people who demand hard evidence of the problems we are talking about and when I provide it... they never come back.
Honestly. People complain that this movement doesn't represent the real 99% but I'm having the same problem with the 99% that they have with occupy; They don't make any sense. They yell at me for being squatter then call me a hypocrite when I say I don't camp! They agree that the government isn't working in the interests of the people, that they feel really ripped off by the TransAlta scam, that we pay too much for gas in a province that produces it and then say I live in the greatest city of the greatest province of the greatest country in the world and I should shut my mouth and not complain.
I think what people are really mad at the movement for, myself included honestly, is that it hasn't been effective. Because it kind of gave some of us hope for a minute there, didn't it? That we could rethink debt-based consumer culture and begin demanding fairness and justice. Us, ourselves! Without waiting for someone else to do it for us!
So they left it up to a handful of campers in a park and are disappointed with the results?
