Default What is going on in the community of Temple?

While listening to the radio, I heard yet another crime that has, you guessed it, occurred in community of Temple here in Calgary. Should the army just bomb this neighborhood already? What is wrong with the people there?

Didn't you hear Nenshi? Not enough community and recreation centers. Nothing else to do but loot and plunder.

I disagree.

Theres Village Square Leisure center......where a young Nenshi would enjoy crashing against the waves at the wave pool, only later to retire to the Library and read books about civic engagement and organizational dynamics.

There's a new Rec center being built by Saddleridge & Taralake.

This bodes well for the city of Calgary.

We need more Nenshi's and more twitter debates.

I think we all know what's wrong with that neighbourhood...

If you assume this was racist it's simply a test of your own preconceived notions! If you think this was racist then it is, in fact, you who is racist!

Temple needs more food trucks and grassroots civic engagement.

Problem solved.

Temple needs less trashy people- regardless of race.

Never liked the community, despite it being very similar to many other "mature" communities in Calgary that I do like.

Why do you just feel dirty when you even drive in that area??

Actually, the root causes of crime can often be attributed to lack of activities for youth as they grew up. So if a kid is going to soccer 3 times a week, that is less time he has to get into trouble, more positive role models in their life etc, compared to if little Johnny is only hanging out with older kids.

i live in temple and there is nothing wrong with it. Sure its not the most peacefull place to live but no where is. you can drive down any part of town and there are gang members, grow ops, violent crimes. It's just easier for people to crap on the n.e because of race and salary.
