Clive Charles, one of the first Portland Timbers soccer players back in the 70's. Went on to coach the University of Portland men's and women's teams, as well as the women's U.S. team. Almost singlehandedly made Portland, Oregon "Soccer City, USA". Plus, I went to high school with his daughter...

Awesome. I'm planning to do a trip to Portland to see the Timbers next season myself, preferably against some Canadian team. I've decided to root for them for the time being (until Calgary gets an MLS team...although if Portland see some great success before then, who knows!...or if that ever happens)

One of the best sports atmospheres I've ever experienced. They're serious about their footy in Portland! PM me for food/drink/pregame details if you'd like. I'm a member of their supporters group, so I can give you some ideas about discounts, etc.

I change mine up once and awhile too.... remember a while back when a bunch of us had that same red and white one? People were ticked because they were getting confused as to who said what... ahh good times.
I picked my current one because someone made a remark about me being nothing but a gun toting conservative....(loosely paraphrased)
I laughed and thought... "if only they knew more about me.... " ... and voila 
... and no, I don't carry a gun. The mistletoe was added last Christmas.

I changed this to mine pretty early in my tenure at CP and people seemed to take to it. Im pretty sure if i changed it no one would know who i am so it just stays
