Default The Tree of Life Movie

Yay or nay? I admire the vision of the movie and how challenging it was to watch. I say Yay!!!

I stopped watching after about 30 minutes. Good visual but when I watch a movie, I don't want to perform psycho analysis on the characters.

Liked it. Though at the 30 minute mark too, I thought.. okay, did the guy who pirated this splice it with the Oasis channel. After settling into the movie though, I really thought it was well done. It did a good job of capturing growing up in the images and scenes.

One of the best films I've seen in the past couple years. Sure it's overblown and self-indulgent but the scenes with the brothers growing up and their experience were incredible. Had to visit the board on imdb.com just to get clarification on a few things but I liked it. The theater was nice and quiet when we went, bonus.

I didn't get it... which certainly detracted from my experience.

Seemed a little too "out there" for me, but maybe with a little clarification or understanding going in, I could get more out of it on a second viewing. That's not high on my list of things to do, however.

After 30 minutes, nothing blew up and nobody got naked, I decided to quit watching.
