I unlocked that recon thingy that highlights tanks and stuff. What do I do with it now? Just sit there and highlight stuff? Who can attack it, just helicopters and jets?

I've tried HC, you still have that mini map hud and the bullets take the same amount of time. I'm going to give it one more chance but I just don't understand the game. I should of got it for the PC and tried it that way instead of the console.

Well I got it tonight and I'm pretty bad. It's going to take some time to knock the rust off. I've liked most of the maps so far, except Metro, that just doesn't feel like a BF Map.

I felt that way too playing it on RUSH - once I had a conquest game on that map I changed my opinion.

For people that have it. Was wondering what the offline modes are like. I play online some times, but because I suck so bad a FPS I spend more time in the offline modes of games like this so I at least feel somewhat like a man

I stopped fighting it and just went back to my engineer role solely. Paired up with a dude in T90 and caused some havoc. I'm bad at FPS now in purely FPS terms, but as assault and especially as engineer, I can at least still contribute to the team.

Battlefield games have always been meant to be played on the PC. dedicated servers, better graphics, more players, and the ability to use joysticks for flying. i don't know why anyone would buy the console versions of BF3 if they have a PC capable of running it

Ah yeah if I was trying to play it for the console I would have a k/d ratio of 0 for sure.
I tried a CO-OP mission (since I found out that there are unlocks only for CO-OP, thanks Dice), and they're pretty easy (especially since apparently the most efficient XP is on easy missions), and one of the first two missions is a chopper mission, so that might be a good way to buddy up and practice piloting a chopper (or subjecting some poor random person to your piloting skills).

So I just played a round of Rush on Xbox. I'm usually pretty good top 5 players in the game but k/d is only about 1.4. Lots of healing and point captures. Anyway play this round and am like whoa everything is going right. Check my score 30-0. I know im not that good so decide to just run in to a huge group of guys and see what happens. 8 bad guys and me. I unload primary clip, handgun clip then knife the remaining 3. Finish the round at 48-0.
Has this happened to anyone else? Like obviously seems like a glitch or something. I got about 10 messages about how im hacking. But I dunno what the heck was going on. Next round was back to normal.

I happened to read a review on Destructoid, which said that the console versions are much inferior. The maps are much bigger for PC and of course the graphics are better.
Incidentally, the review says that the single player is worthless, but the writer is very positive about the multiplayer.

Try them on Hard, me and my friend couldn't get past the first one. He crashed the chopper for mission 2 which seemed a lot easier. But on Hard the first mission isn't easy.

But on hard it takes longer too, so much so that it's more efficient to do it on easy from an XP per unit time basis (according to the forums anyway).

Lol unlocked the mortar tonight, it's kind of silly, you just sit there staring at a map clicking on orange things.
Other mortars show right up so you can take them out pretty quick with a counter mortar.

Mortars absolutely ruin Seine Crossing, that map just turns into a motor battle from side to side.
And Conquest on Metro is absolutely terrible
Other than that, I really like the game!

It certainly is a meat grinder. I think I played a round for the first time yesterday where the attacking team won, they had a couple of good squads rush up and take the middle flag while people were still getting into it and held it.
