Lady Gaga is in talks with Queen guitarist Brian May to take over as the band's new lead singer.
"We talk about going out on the road all the time but there’s a bit of a singer problem to put it mildly. We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material."
Balls Out has everything you would want on a Steel Panther record; offensive and fun sing along choruses that you’ll have memorized within a matter of seconds, clever and brilliant lyrics, sexual metaphors, riffs that will make your neck swore, at least seven or eight singles that will make Billboard’s “Hot 100” and music that genuinely rocks.
Verdict 'Lulu' will certainly not be for everyone, and Lou Reed fans will take to this more readily, given that most Metallica fans are not known for their open-mindedness. It’s epic, like Apocalypse Now is epic, and while I like Apocalypse Now I wouldn’t want to watch it every weekend. The best thing about this record is that it exists, and Metallica are to be congratulated for exploring their more avant-garde side. It suits them.
At the beginning of today’s exclusive listening session at Manhattan’s Legacy Studios for The Roots new LP undun, manager Rich Nichols introduced the record by saying “the story is about the undoing of a kid.” Which reiterates what those of us who’ve been paying attention already knew about the concept album, but much more succinctly. He added that title was partially inspired by The Guess Who song of the same name (sometimes known as “She’s Come Undone”) and that the major underlying theme revolves around the idea of a person’s life choices being determined by their surroundings–in this case, ghetto, USA.

Wow, I'm really trying. I just can't get past Lou's tone deaf caterwauling. The instrumental version would be awesome. I'd gladly listen to that.

Loved it, forgot how crazy Eddie was in the early days climbing everywhere and jumping into the crowd. Really liked the way it was put together, and some awesome archival footage, a must watch for PJ fans.

Agreed. The inclusion of the Cornell interviews and to some extent the clips of Cobain really went a long way to show how vastly different the Seattle scene was than other places.
I loved that Ames had his MT had on for the entire current interviews. Though it was his hatred of his hometown that in part moved him to Seattle (via Missoula and the U of M first) it is pretty clear he is quite proud of his Montana roots.
That was the most footage of Andy Wood I have ever seen too.
Great stuff. Clearly, Cameron Crowe's long relationship with the band was a great asset in the way it went off.

According to Xavier de Rosnay of Justice, Audio, Video, Disco will be lighter than their first album. With the first album being darker, and this one being "daytime music", not as aggressive as the first one.[1] The album also features more collaborations than on †. In a 6/10 review, Spin describes Justice's style on the album as, "trying their hand at '70s arena rock...melding Italo-disco and singing hair-metal guitars."
It is streaming at PMA and a few other sites. I found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3OZv9FKrZc on youtube previously and now when I listen to the album version it sounds soo much slower. Never did like Civilization but some of the other songs sound pretty good!
Next Tuesday, Kanine Records will release Tarot Classics, the new EP from South Florida indie-rockers/CMJ survivalistsSurfer Blood. While the disc ditches a lot of the volume-juicing tactics of its predecessor, 2009's Astro Coast, it's a tuneful step toward what SPIN writer Nick Murray refers to as "college rock bliss". Listen to the EP in its entirety as well as two bonus remixes by Speculator and Summer of Love, both of which will be included on the release across all formats.
This song is included in the live podcast they did for KEXP from the spring of this year in a bike shop in Austin and they sound great live! A band to watch/listen to for sure! Live podcast is on I-Tunes and the album is also very good! Good energy!
