TLF in the Gauntlet this week

So, I'm sitting down before class this morning and decide to check out the TLFs in the Gauntlet. They're always good for a laugh, and today was no different. What is different, though, is that a CP poster is directly responsible!
Here's what it read:

"The chief export of Phaneuf is pain."

I nearly fell out of my chair!

To whom may I credit this TLF? I need to thank you for making my day!

Hey BBS you wanna go to Whistler next month? Me and 8 other alumni (Q as well) intend on getting thrown out of the local bars/the town itself Feb 10-12.

Yes, I read that as well. I was thinking that a weekly TLF should be made quoting the Dion thread. Everyone else would be SO confused.

Well, since you won't tell me... Ive gathered this much...
Your talking about something in the "Gauntlet"... which I assume is the UofC undergraduate newspaper or something.

You're talking about TLF's which I assume are some sort wanted/ad thing..

Someone said something about Dion..

And only those privy to the information...

Its like the "The order of the Skulls"

Am i getting warm?

^^^ Yes the Guantlet is the Uni weekly paper. I can't remember what TLF actually stands for but it's basicly just a section of small posts from (mostly)anonymous students about anything. Sometimes selling stuff, talking about classes, people, hot chik/guy someone saw etc.I didn't read the guantlet yet, but whatever RS posted was written in it this week. That's about it I think.

edit: The part I'm confused about is the so called Dion thread?? Still havn't figured that out.

I saw that today too! It was fabulous! Needs to be a weekly standard.
Best TLF ever I read was one by CaPtaiN inSaNO or however he spells his name, said something like:
To the fountain in ST by...(I don't remember where)
I appreciate the fact that every week you overshoot and get me on the pants and make it look like I peed myself. I admire the extra effort you always put out!

A couple weeks later there was another one that said:
I find it said that your overzealousness was caged by the maintanance staff.

Or something to that affect. I miss Cap'n.

It's speculated that Captain Insano, like Sign Guy, graduated.

My favorite TLF from back when I was in UofC was:
I wish someone would do something about the apathy on campus. I would but I don't care enough.

I dont know why but that really stuck with me all these years.

Ahh Sign Guy, so many people hated him and so many love him. I saw some girl trying to carry on his legace, that must not have lasted.

I talked to him one day, seemed normal enough, just said he was bored.

EDIT: I do beleive Freeway has started a trend. I for one will learn how to put in TLFs now. This should be the next one...
"There are only four horsemen of the apocalypse, because Dion Phaneuf is going to walk."

For some reason I never read past the first page. I always thought it was 4 pages of normal hockey talk and the "Dion" thread was somewhere else. Thx for the heads up. There is some amazing things in there.

How to TLF
By E-Mail: tlfs@gauntlet.ucalgary.ca
By Yourself: Write it out, bring it upstairs to MSC 319. It's the staircase past the door to the Black Lounge. Once you're upstairs, the offices have a giant "GAUNTLET" sign above 'em.

Make sure to include your name, ID number, phone number and signature.
