About Schit, err Schmidt for me too. BRUTAL. How can a Jack flick be sooo bad?
Worst DVD I have ever bought (worse than the above) is Martin Lawrence Live... and I like him.

Once Upon a Time in Mexico.
Any movie which has the line;
'Are you a Mexican? Or a Mexican't?'
Should never be made.

Gothika.
I knew it would suck, but the girls I was with wanted to see it. I tried so hard to sneak into another movie, no luck.
Complete garbage.

Anyone see either one of these?

I've seen both. Dukes didn't have many redeeming qualities. Too many people in it who aren't even actors by trade was a problem (Jessica Simpson, Willie Nelson, Johnny Knoxville). Although Knoxville wasn't bad in the Ringer.
Deuce Bigelow had some pretty funny moments. Sure it was stupid, but what do you expect. It sure was gross though.

Alexander.
Val Kilmer with a bad fake accent.
Angelina Jolie with a bad fake accent.
Colin Farrel trying to cover up a bad accent.
Steaming.Pile.Of.Dog.Crap.
And a long one at that.

Closer - even a stripping Natalie Portman couldn't stop me from turning off this movie before the unbelievably pretentious dialogue made me jam a screwdriver into my brain.
Ocean's Twelve - I loathe this movie. You go through 95% of the movie following their heist, then in the last 5 minutes they go, "Ha, ha, just kidding, here's a scene that occured at the beginning of the movie that we didn't show you that makes the last 2 hours a complete lie." It's 10x worse than the "It was all a dream" ending.
The first two Star Wars prequels were completely awful; the third was 10x better, rising to the level of: meh

Completely agree, on all counts. Particularly with the Star wars movies. Just awful.
I also really didn't like Bad Santa with Billy bob Thorton. Totally pointless pathetic movie. There didn't seem to be a point. Wasn't funny, just seemed to be trying so hard to be offensive, but it was just pathetic.
EDIT: I am also going to add the movie Be Cool. The john Travolta flick. I love Travolta but this just sucked.

Vertical Limit. . .I would rank it right up there with Maximum Overdrive for being so bad it's good.
Nothing but cliches, terrible acting and explosives . . .all with hilarious consequences.

Hey, I see big momma's house 2 is out. I think that little Martin Lawrence fellow is great. I missed big momma's house 1, but if I did see it, I would have to say it would've been one of the worst I've ever seen. Maybe someone can let me know.

More of my favorite movies making this thread. I liked Closer. And Bad Santa is one of my favorite comedies ever. I don't even understand your critism, I thought it was a very smart, funny movie, and not even particularly offensive.
What is it with Natalie Portman movies and this thread. 5 of her movies made this thread and I enjoyed them all.

Closer, i just felt was pointless. There was a lot of hype, I didn't really understand why. I like Natalie Portman, I like Clive Owen, I just didn't feel like this one deserved all the hype.
As for Bad Santa, maybe offensive wasn't the right word, I didn't find the film offensive, I felt like he was trying to make it offensive or mean to get the laughs. I just always get the impression with Billy Bob Thorton movies that he is just trying so hard to be a badass or really mean because he thinks that is funny, like in this movie with how he treats the kid and in that Bad News Bears remake he did, where he again plays an alcoholic that treats the kids like crap. To me, he just keeps recycling the same character. I didn't see anything smart about the film, but that's just my opinion.

I thought Magnolia was a great movie. I'm surprised people really hated it.
|
I didn't expect much out of the Dukes of Hazzard, seeing who was in it, but I loved it. Not a whole lot of brainwork involved, but very entertaining.

If you want to see something bile-inducing, watch Firestorm with Howie Long...
...I ususally try to pick out things that ARE good with the movie, but in the case of this one, the only good thing coming out was the disc itself from my DVD player after I threw it in the garbage. AFTER 10 MINUTES.
I had to go lay down afterwards.

I (unfortunatly) saw this pile of garbage on Sunday and it is horrible. The first half of it was brutally slow especially considering it's being billed as a scary and/or gross flick. Then, when it gets scary/gross it is so ridiculous I was falling asleep. Just brutal. Save your money and buy some marshmallows or something.

I could make it through 15 minutes of Closer. What a terrible film. That was actually the film that I realized who to take movie recommendations from and who not to. In my opinion, it's a movie that alot of people who perhaps don't watch alot of movies or value very hollywood style film making think is just great.

BloodRayne.
We made the games. Uwe Boll butchered the movie.
