I wasn't complaining, just making an observation. In fact I think we should probably just keep the rules consistent with the rules that NHL.com used (as that was the premise of the exercise). Also, it permits us to compare our teams to the NHL.com teams as well. Those are my thoughts anyway.

Oh I knew it wasn't a complaint. I just thought it could make it more interesting if we did it like the NHL, but if the NHL.com redraft only has 20 guys with the same cap we could leave it as is too. I don't care either way.

The NHL.com redraft has 23, so I'm okay with doing it that way, adds more pressure to the salary cap

well I'm going to spend to the cap with my 20 guys then my last 3 are going to be Cheerio, PlayfullGenius and MrMike and I'll just pray I don't get any injuries.

I think the NHL 12 idea (as NHL.com did) is the best one. It will take a decent amount of work on someone's part I suppose (to create the rosters), but I think we would all be interested in the results.

It'll be interesting to see what everyone has to say about the final rosters here, before the season starts, compared with after the season is over.
Some rosters might look a little week with some good, but unproven rookies, now, but at the end of the season, some of these kids may have cemented themselves as genuine difference makers.

This brings up an interesting point here, because this was always a dream of mine.
If I was rich enough to purchase a team (Lets just say right now as I'm 24),
I could technically put myself on the team and become an NHLer that way no?
