In the Eastern US they are called "Hardees" I believe. Slightly different menu, but part of the same chain.

I always thought Applebees would be good, but I've been to the one at Northpoint and I'm not impressed. Now I'm curious about TGI Fridays.
Although they used to be in Calgary before going out of business, Fuddruckers is great. Buffalo Wild Wings is very good, too.

I've always liked TGI Fridays. I used to stop there in Fargo on my way to Minneapolis when I lived in Winnipeg.

I used to go to Hardees quite a bit since they have a lot of Midwest locations. They've gone downhill in my opinion.

I've been to Fatburger a few times. Not bad, but I wouldn't lineup as construction is ongoing...

What U.S. restaurants would I like to see in Calgary. That's an easy one. My favorite 3:

Breakfast - Einstein Bros. Bagels (Kicks any bagel place in Calgary, easy!!) 1 Cranberry bagel with honey butter and a cup of fresh squeezed OJ please!

Lunch - In & Out Burger. Single, cheese, with homecut fries and a Coke. (It's no Billygoat Tavern "Cheezburger Cheezburger!!!" but it's good)

Dinner - PF Chang's Asian Bistro. Chinatown chicken lettuce wraps and Orange peel chicken, with a Mr. Pibb please.

Now I'm hungry. Gotta go......

The top three franchises I'd love to see in Calgary:

Nando's Chickenland
Buffalo Wild Wings(BW3)
IHOP

That being said, if any one of those showed up, I'd be the fattest dude in town.

This would get my vote hands down. When I go down to San Diego to visit my brother, I will eat at In&Out Burger as often as possible. It's just so ****ing good.

i had happy memories of ihop from my travel along the eastern seaboard in mid 99, and was thrilled when i saw one in kelowna this past summer.

talk about disillusioned. the one in kelowna was overpirced and the food sucked ass. never again. at that one anyway.

the states ones were WAY better.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Yeah, I was in Vancouver on my birthday and said I wanted to go to IHOP. The biggest disappointment was the hashbrowns. In the States you get the shredded ones, but in BC they seemed like some sort of frozen "McCain type" of hash browns.

If you're in BC and want breakfast, White Spot is the place to go!

As far as breakfast foods go, Americans make two things way better than Canadians do: Hash Browns and Sausage.

You guys are all wrong.... the only place worth having in Canada is the City Wok.

I love their city beef, city chicken, city noodles. Can't beat that city food!

But as far as I know there is only one in Colorado.....

I really can't believe a fast-food joint named "Fatburger" has become so successful. Hey, at least they're honest!

In'n'Out, Tommy's, The Hat, and more Mexican hole-in-the-walls would be my choices.

Boston Market went way downhill the last time I went there. Everything was bone dry from sitting too long and it was all tasteless.
