I think it's woth noting (seeing as Dell has decided to have absolutely no description of the device they are selling)- that the Streak is locked to the Rogers network.
And here I thought it was a phone. Didn't realize it was a tablet.
It is also a phone. A big phone, but still a phone.

Heh, the funny thing is I run my U2410 in sRGB mode, unless I'm doing something that specifically supports a higher gamut (Photoshop).
High gamut monitors and the lack of pervasive support (i.e. at the OS level or something) is actually highly annoying.
Yeah, that's why I'm nervous about it. It's definitely got more room to grow (into printing colour-manged photos for example) than an sRGB-only IPS, but I'm not sure I'll actually get into that stuff before price drops / improved technology make this purchase irrelevant. Add-in that the HPZR24W has better response time and less input lag, and it makes the U2410 a questionable buy for me.
I expect to be using sRGB mode a lot... how is it? Do cameras encode to a specific colour-space (i.e. would my JPGs look better or worse in wide gamut)?
Looks great in sRGB to me, better than the other modes as changing to a high gamut mode just makes everything look blown out. My first version of the monitor had a dithering bug that created bad dithering in dark colours in sRGB mode, but I RMAed the monitor and the new one (newer firmware) doesn't do it. Though it took me like 4 tries to get a monitor I was satisfied with.
Colour profiles have been added into the JPEG file format and most digital cameras use sRGB, so again high gamut becomes kind of useless, but your pictures should look as they were intended. I think some higher end cameras support Adobe RGB.
Yeah I've seen some good reviews on the ZR24W, if I was in the market today it would definitely be on my list to consider.

Looks like mine does, but I'm not sure I'd want to use it (would require colour space conversion for any kind of export). Starting to look like wide gamut won't be useful for me, and I should compare monitors simply based off sRGB performance.
Edit: "game mode", which gives you faster response time, does so by disabling colour space emulation. Gross.
Yeah, I don't use game mode at all either, I don't find the lag noticeable, and I play a lot of TF2 online.
When I was searching for a monitor there simply wasn't any sRGB only ones available that were worth getting, even PVA ones were high gamut, so yeah it became more finding one that offered the best sRGB experience.

I thought I saw a TV ad today that was hyping the ability to change the cover of new Dell laptops. Must have just been confused, because there's no way Dell is that stupid.
Ya I just saw that a buddy sent me the link, strongly considering purchasing this it is right around what I was looking for.
