I'm glad Bay's run is over and I hope they reboot the new movie series into something else. I hate the insectoid looking barf faces of all the robots in the Bay movies.

speaking of Micheal Bay, GQ has a really interesting Oral History about him

http://www.gq.com/entertainment/movi...printable=true

including Shia Labeouf taking a shot at someone, Ben Affleck?

Shia LaBeouf (actor, Transformer series): It's the casting. With a different cast, Pearl Harbor would be considered a masterpiece.

Why is a bad movie excused for being a popcorn flick? A bad movie is a bad movie. Period.

Bay: I was into these very advanced trains sets, with towns and cities and whatever, the detail of it. I remember my parents came to me: "Michael, we think you need to get outside more." And I'm thinking, "Am I ####ed up?"
I appreciated this gem.

Did you try scrubbing with bleach? I know the blood stains will be hard to get out. Try the dry cleaners.

They have to up the ante this time. If Optimus doesn't hit someone with a Saturn V rocket, I'll be really disappointed.

Totally disagree with this mentality. There is a time and place for movies like these. There is a place for guilty pleasure movies and that's where Transformers falls for me. In the traditional sense, no, Transfomers is not a "good" movie, but it's a fun movie and to me, there is nothing wrong with that.

As bad as Bay is as a director, much of the problems in these movies are the incredibly ####ty scripts. As a director is ultimately in control and can cut add what he wants, that's why the 2nd was so terrible, so I am not completely blaming the scrips. But if he actually had a decent script I'd be curious to see what he would do. I still don't think he'd make a good movie though.

I doubt this one will be the last, they make WAY too much money. When they reboot it, or make Transformers 4, let's get a director who knows story as well as action.

I have a feeling that there was nothing Bay could have done to change certain people's minds because he made a way different movie and doesn't seem like he is getting the credit for it.
I actually posted the parts of Ebert's review just because I love it when Ebert just goes off on something.

It is a popcorn movie but what I like about Ebert is he usually reviews a movie based on what it is supposed to be. He doesn't trash a movie because it won't win any awards, he lays into a movie because he feels it's a horrible example of the genre. Popcorn movie it may be but it doesn't excuse crappy film making (for example he quite like Fast Five earlier this year).

To be honest, I hope if I do see it that it will be better than the first two because I actually haven't been able to get through the first two movies. And I'm not a movie snob...I'm more than happy to enjoy a popcorn flick if it can be enjoyed.

Asked point-blank by Details magazine whether he and Fox were ever intimate, the star reportedly nodded in the affirmative before trying to explain.

I'll wait until it comes out on the movie channel, saw the first one was impressed thought the storyline was decent and liked the battle scenes, had a big expectation for the sequel, and after seeing it thought it was as decent as taking a crap on a sidewalk.

The third one I expect to be a better story, but with all the garbage acting in the sequel, I'll save my money for other blockbuster and smaller budget movies I think have a chance for a good storyline.

I'll wait to see this third installment on tv, but I do hope it is better or they should kill the movie franchise.

They pull over $800 million from the box office. I highly doubt they will kill this franchise.

Pretty funny considering how much of a basket case you were when people came in and started trashing it.
