Ryan Dunn of "Jackass" fame dies
May he RIP
Quote:
west goshen, pa. - fox 29 news has learned that ryan dunn of mtv's "jackass" series died in an early morning crash monday in chester county, pa.
Police in west goshen confirmed a fatal accident occurred but were not immediately releasing any other details.
Fox 29 news spoke to april margera, mother of "jackass" star bam margera, who said she was told dunn was killed in the wreck.
The crash kept route 322 closed between new street and pottstown pike for much of the morning. Motorists were advised to use ashbridge street to avoid the closure before the road reopened around 9:30 a.m.
April margera also said an unidentified second person died in the crash, which happened around 3 a.m. She said she did not know who was driving the car, and there may have been a third occupant.
Dunn, 34, appeared in all three of the "jackass" movies, the latest being "jackass 3d." he also had a one-season run with a show of his own, called "homewrecker," on which he helped practical jokes victims get revenge.
Tmz is reporting that just hours before his death, dunn posted a photo on his twitter account showing himself drinking with friends.

If he was drunk when the accident happened I'll reserve my sympathies.
Death by stupidity.

According to some reports, he was driving over 180km per hour and someone else in the car died. I am struggling to feel tremendous sympathy for him but I do feel sympathy for his family and the other person (people?) who lost their lives.

CKY (stylised cKy) is an American alternative metal band that formed in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1998. Centred around core members Deron Miller (vocals, guitar), Chad I Ginsburg (guitar, vocals) and Jess Margera (drums), the band shares its name with a skateboarding and stunt video series produced by Bam Margera, brother of drummer Jess. CKY is closely linked with the crew of the same name, and their music is often featured on the crew's productions including the Jackass and Viva La Bam television series.
The band was originally formed as Camp Kill Yourself with live bassist Ryan Bruni. He was replaced by Vernon Zaborowski in 2000, who was later fired from the band in 2004. Matt Deis joined in 2005 as the first full-time bassist of the band, but left in May 2010 and was replaced by Matt "Matty J" Janaitis, previously a live keyboardist with the group. CKY has released four studio albums, with a fifth said to be in the works for a 2012 release.

Ryan Dunn had been featured in several CKY videos and they have used a bunch of CKY music for the Jackass Movies.

^^ Dunn wasn't a part of cKy, the band. He was in the cKy video series crew which is:
The CKY video series is a series of videos produced by Bam Margera and Brandon DiCamillo and other residents of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Four videos have been released to date, Landspeed presents: CKY (later called CKY), CKY2K, CKY 3, and CKY4: The Latest & Greatest. There is also a CKY "documentary" DVD, which is a supplemental item in the hard-to-find CKY "Box Set," as well as two "CKY Trilogy" sets, both of which are compilation DVDs featuring scenes from the previous CKY DVDs. The videos were named after Bam Margera's brother Jess Margera and his band CKY (with Deron Miller and Chad Ginsburg). "CKY" stands for "Camp Kill Yourself". [1]
The videos feature Bam Margera, Brandon DiCamillo, their friends and Bam's relatives in various stunts and pranks, interspersed with skating footage of Bam and other pros. [2] A trademark of the skating footage was to show unsuccessful trick attempts immediately followed by the same skater pulling the trick off. CKY started when Bam and his friends were in the same Graphics Arts class at East High School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Instead of attending class, they would go out in a field and film skits. Eventually, they had so much footage of themselves, they decided to compile it into a video.

He was the one I liked best out of all the Jackass/cKy crew. Always seemed like he didn't want to be an attention whore (Knoxville, Bam) and just wanted to have a good time. It's pretty surprising that for 15 years of Jackass/cKy - only 1 main person in it has died. Still stupid as all hell for doing this though

If only he did. Unfortunately, there was someone else in the vehicle with him who also died. At least it doesn't appear that any other vehicles were involved.
