Default LF: Drywaller Recommendations

As title suggests, I'm looking for a drywaller to get a quote on some work. (Incl taping/mudding)

Need a ~8'x8' section of wall put up, as well as a ~4'x8' section of ceiling put up, and a couple of old light fixture holes patched.

Depending on the results of the drywalling, we might also need some further work as well.

So you're saying it'll be cheaper to tear out the rest of the ceiling and have them re-do it all eh?

Excellent, I love punching drywall

Anyone have any recommendations on contractors they've used in the past?

That will get them in the door at least.
Do the work yourself, go to a workshop at rona or home depot. You will have a really hard time getting anyone to come do that small job. Unless it is a friend who owes you a favour.

Let me know if you need a #.

I have a guy that is an EXCELLENT handyman, and charges reasonably. He can do drywall, paint, fixtures, and a lot of odd renos. Reliable and very good quality.

His father in law is a cabinet make that does great work as well.

I'll take his number, sure, send via PM.

Its not so much putting up the drywall thats the issue, its the fact that I need part of a ceiling done, and as we all know, ceilings are a PITA to finish properly.

Highly recommend Rob's Drywall, I have had them do work for me over the past 10 years and can say they do great work.

PM me if interested and I will set you up with the owners name and number.
