I think in any other season Grant is all ready gone, but with RI there was a risk to voting him out because I would say if the person comes back (I would guess they come back now and make a f5)
the reason for no idol talk on the show is that it hasn't been an issue ever since rob threw the clue in to the volcano. I am guessing people have been talking about it, but its not a big plot point

Reunion should be good too, get to see if Philip really is an FBI agent, see Russell's argue he is better than Rob etc.
and see everyone get asked if they knew at the time they were witnessing the greatest reality show performance in history (whether the jury votes for Rob to win or not its #1)

Well Id say Russell's first season was pretty damned good as well. I'd like 3 or 4 chances at winning Survivor myself, you get a lot of chances to correct mistakes, play a better game etc. It also depends how stupid the tribe members are as well, because I surely would have voted him off early.

Another great chance to vote out Rob, and his name doesn't even come up.
Really are a bunch of idiots on this season, Rob is lucky. Just in cruise control now. Can't believe they are content with going with him to the Final 3, they don't stand a chance.

I just don't understand why Rob didn't split the chicks up. He would have guaranteed a final four of
Grant - Ok, a threat, but can still be accused of coat tailing things.
Phillip - Probably a guy that you want in front of the jury, but could be a threat.
One of the survivors from RI.
I would think that there is one elimination at the start of the next show, if Rob is going to be threatened its there.
Then they'll be a second elimination bringing the number of competitors down to three then we see the return of the RI survivor.
Rob needs to win one challenge or he's in a bit of trouble.
Actually, I think I'm wrong.
Right now we have 4 survivors, so there's a chance that the girls vote against Rob and the boys vote against one of the girls. So I would expect that the first thing that we see is the end of RI, none of whom are going to be fans of Rob.
Then we see an immunity challenge deciding the final four.
Then we see another elimination moving it to the final three.
Right now in that scenario, we have a two girl plus bitter RI voting against Rob.
Rob and Phillip voting against either the returning RI survivor or one of the chicks.
Rob still has the immunity idol, but he now really has to win one more immunity idol or he's going to the jury.
He should have voted one of the girls out this week and kept his voter block of Grant and Philip. I think the boy done screwed up.

I kind of disagree; I believe Natalie is more loyal to Rob, than to Ashley imo. I sure as hell hope I am right, as Rob at least getting to the final 3 would be disappointing.
The RI winner better win their way before any immunity challenges are played. I'd be kind of pissed if I was the last one eliminated and didn't get a chance at Redemption, but if the RI returnee only has to win one immunity challenge, I'd be pretty pissed off.
If Mike, Matt, or possibly Grant gets back into the game, and wins just one challenge, then the final vote is all but synched in their favor.
Another reason why I firmly believe Ashley and Natalie have to vote with Rob and Phillip to get the returnee off is because of that. I think both Matt and especially Mike are guaranteed the million dollars if they make the final 3. Grant probably would beat the two girls, and Andrea may have made a few friends on RI herself.
This is why I believe the four who are still on the island should compose the final 3. If Rob needs to he must play the idol at the next TC, and get either Ashley, or more likely the RI winner out. Come the final 4 there will be Rob, Natalie, Phillip, and either Ashley, or the RI winner left.
This is where Rob must win immunity imo. I could easily see Phillip or Natalie wanting to make their "big move" in the final four, and voting against Rob. While Phillip has been somewhat entertaining, I'll turn the TV off if the final 3 are Phillip, Natalie, and Ashley (Phillip and Natalie are guaranteed to be there at this point). Or if Matt gets back and votes out Rob, that will just ruin the game.
I still find it funny how many Rob haters there are out there. He may be both cocky and arrogant, but in a good way. He is not a prick to his tribe mates like Russell, and busts his ass in every aspect of the game. He deserves to win it this year, and it will be a shame if someone who just tagged along wins it again (tired of that happening).

I'm a fan of the way that Rob has played the game, he's the first guy to really combine the social and competitive aspects of the game since Survivor 1 where Richard Hatch made a anti gay Rudy into a firm ally.

I would only want Phil with me if it was a 2 person final. If its 3 - Phil is a non factor. From Rob's point of view he should be taking 2 other people to the end - ideally Natalie and Ashley. Make the argument they rode your coat tails - those on the jury that want to reward the best player will vote for you - and the others will split.
You bring Phil and he doesn't split the contrary vote at all - forcing more votes to your other competitor.
Bringing Phil to the end isn't the right play.

I hope you're not referring to myself as a Rob hater, I'm not. I think he's played pretty much a flawless game and is easily the front runner to win. Not his fault in the least things have worked out well for him.
I'm more frustrated with the lack of game play by the other contestants, who just seem content with riding things out and seeing how final tribal goes........where they will almost most certainly get crushed.
I'd rather see more aggressive play from other people that would lead to a more exciting season. Rob is in a league of his own right now, and it kind of makes for some boring shows.

Yep, I think that was his thinking as well
he is putting full trust in natalie and he thinks he has a better chance at beating her and phillip than Grant and Phillip

Sorry, I wasn't referring to you, but to all the people all over the net who seem to hate Rob for no real reason. Say what you want about his personality, but his gameplay (especially this season) is almost perfect.
And as for the other players lack of game play, I really can't blame them. Aside from Rob almost making it impossible to turn on him, the entire tribe was guaranteed a trip to the final six from the beginning.
Sure members of the Ometepe tribe could of flip flopped long ago, but who knows if they would of lasted even this long. Aside from maybe Andrea, the other members (Phillip, Grant, Ashley, and Natalie) played it the right way by just riding Rob's coattails. Say one or two of them join Zap's alliance, they may not of had numbers anyway, and could of been long gone.
Despite Rob, they still had a 1/5 of winning the game, and a 60% chance of making the final 3. I for one would of had no problems riding coattails with those type of odds. Even with how well Rob has seemingly played the game, there will still be bitter/jealous jury members who may not vote for him for a number of reasons (game play, wealth, attitude, dominance, and that this is his 4th attempt).
Before Andrea was voted out, when was the last time an Ometepe member was even voted out? I think it was Kristina in like week four. Why would you want to switch things up with that kind of tribal dominance? Of course it makes for better TV, but I don't think it necessarily betters their chances.
I agree the season has been pretty boring in general, but Rob at least makes things a bit interesting. It could of gone the same way without Rob anyway, so at least he adds a bit of interest.
Regardless they better change things up next season. Drop redemption island, change the immunity idol system (too easy to find), more difficult challenges, bring back reward challenges (Survivor auction, and car prize); basically take the show back to the Survivor of old (when they actually had to "survive").

Down to the wire!
Beerfest has both Matt and Rob left. Both could very well win if they make the final 3. KevanGuy also has two left, but I don't see Phillip, or Andrea winning.

Not only did the right guy win, but I think he's possibly played the best game in the history of this series.
whats his name was right in the jury. He controlled his game since the very start, and in the end while he played the hidden immunity island, he really never needed to .
