Bautista has scored the last 6 out of 7 runs for the Jays. What a beast.

Bautista moves into the MLB lead for home runs. Good first start of the year for Morrow with 9 K's through 5.

Hope they can win this game and get back to .500!

Morrow gets pulled after striking out 10 in 5 innings.

villanueva gives up a 3 run home run right away. 5-2.

Snider bunts in the 9th representing the winning run to put the game in the hands of Mike McCoy.

Farrell. Seriously. What. The. Balk.

Worse...the hands of John McDonald and Mike McCoy both right handed hitters after Farnsworth comes into the game.

There are situations where you sit back and hope for the three run home run and that was one of them in my opinion.

I honestly didn't mind the call, Snider hasn't been hitting worth a damn, so at least guarantee that he has a productive out by getting the runners to second and third - this way the next two guys in your lineup, who aren't home run threats, have a chance to score the tying run with a single. It really wasn't that bad of a call for me, there have been bigger head scratchers for me this season.

love the call with a brutally struggling snider...loved it even more when he dropped it down perfectly and beat it out...sick of getting jobbed by the umps.

It's not a guarantee.

I'll wait for Stoten to make my argument for me.

The offense is so terrible...and Snider is starting to worry me.

Hitter's hit right there though.

I think (hope?) Snider is tooling around - like when a pitcher tries to add a pitch to his arsenal. He is trying to expand his strengths, he didn't get worse at them.

Zep with a Carlson-esque slider for a K in the 8th.

Rivera pops out to the catcher to end the game following a gaffe by Bautista to end the threat.

If Rivera has;
no future (with the Jays)
no trade value
no Type A/B candidancy
and a useful replacement then Ant needs to abandon JP's toxic philosophy of waiting until moves are months overdue to maintain the appearance of competitiveness.

The offense is so terrible (echoing Mach)

Can we bring Cito Back? At least we could hit 1000 homers.

The worst (other than the end of the game, of course) was the failure by the heart of the order to advance a lead-off double.

Yikes.

Remember who is out of the line up Davis Nix, Hill and E5. Hopefully the injury bug stops....

Jays don't have the bench strength for those type of injuries

True but things above like not moving runners along from 2nd with no outs or getting picked off when the guy is not even the tying run in unacceptable. That's a discipline and coaching thing, not a skill thing.

Love the Jays, but I'd be surprised if they won 60 games this season.

They'll be ok, they can beat up on the other divisions. They just can't beat NY, BOS or TB. I just don't like Farrell so far. I know it's early but I don't like that I see.

You have to be a really, really bad baseball team to only win 60 games in a season. In the last 5 years or so there's only been like 2-3 teams who didn't win that many games in a season. The Blue Jays aren't great, but they're nowhere near that bad. Even bad teams in MLB still win 71 or more games a season. I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't win at least 75 games.

Good god that would be awful...here's the sub-60 win teams from the last 9 years:

Pittsburgh 2010 - 57 wins
Washington 2009 - 59 wins
Washington 2008 - 59 wins
Kansas City 2005 - 56 wins
Kansas City 2004 - 58 wins
Arizona 2004 - 51 wins **
Detroit 2003 - 43 wins **
Tampa Bay 2002 - 55 wins
Detroit 2002 - 55 wins
Milwaukee 2002 - 56 wins

**= Among the worst 25 teams EVER (based on wins/season)

Do you legitimately feel that the jays are the worst team in baseball, or as bad as the above teams...just based on the Jays pitching alone it would be tough to be that bad.
