Great thread. I would take on a lion cub. (no one said anything about age restrictions)

As for panthers, they once had one at Outlaws and it was the most intimedating thing I have ever seen. It was huge and scary. No way anyone could kill it with their bare hands.

Pfft, none of these would stand a chance against the Komodo Dragon, especially if it's like the god Komodo Dragon with lasers and missiles attached to it.

Realistically, you're more likely to get messed the hell up than even standing a chance of surviving against any of the three. Of the three though, the Shark may be the first to let go, especially if it only does a test bite and realizes that you're not actually food. The Polar Bear could kill you so fast it's not even funny. Elephants trample, you may run it for a while but if it were to ever catch up...owwwww...And Lions, they eat antelope...and Antelope have bigger horns then humans.

I went to India a couple of months ago. My father's friend there, his
father was the premier tiger hunter for decades. "Tiger" Singh had
killed over 1,000 tigers in his lifetime. (At this point you have to

I would pick the elephant, considering the other three animals have learned to (and are equipped to) kill in order to survive.

If you have a knife handy and you're attacked by a shark, stab it in the "throat"--that's where it's heart is located. I've dissected a couple sharks in my day, and I can tell you their hearts are quite far up.

Here is a question of debate among me and some friends of mine:

Who would win in a fight between a swan and a badger?

Badger everyday, those things are vicious, and what is a Swan going to do? I've heard Canadian Geese are pretty tough though, maybe a goose against a badger would be more even?

Swans, the most massive flying birds in the world, can be pretty vicious, as with geese. However, I agree--the badger is pretty scary. Now a cassowary is a mean-ass bird that I think could take out a badger.

Why? Are swans tough or something? I never heard they were so tough, what with all that graceful crap and the vulnerable neck and all.

Once when I was a kid I was on a golf course and a badger went racing by and I shouted "look, a badger"! and my pal went chasing after it just to have a look. He thought it was some sort of crazy dog. I guess he's lucky he didn't catch it.

But their head and neck are small, and they can probably move them pretty quickly. Are you confident you're accurate enough with your foot, and more so, fast enough? One false move and that swan could maul you to death.

probably not...like you said, they have a small head and neck...how can a swan maul you to death when built like that?

Haha. I'm sure. I have no trouble with cougars.

But since you mentioned it, let me clarify that a panther is actually a dark variation of various cats. So it could actually be a panther/cougar(puma) or jaguar, or leopord.

What this means is that the Florida Panthers logo is actually a Puma and would be a panther only if it was black.

Panther can refer to an all-black jaguar.

However, primarily in the Southeastern United States, the term has also come to refer to a mountain lion (of any colour).

So there are at least two usages of the term.

What you've said is true about the SE states, but apperently they incorrectly use the term. Someone should tell them.

Well perhaps, but language doesn't evolve without some people misusing it.

I tend to consider dictionary.com more authoritative than certain stodgy coots who post homemade Wikipedia articles with their own subtle slants.

The only one you'd remotely have a chance against is the Shark. If you disoriented the Shark by hitting it's nose and sensors then you could theoretically **** with it's gills like how dolphins defend themselves against sharks. If you jammed it's gills it could die.

The other three you, quite literally, have no chance against.

Elephants are being grossly underrated in the killing department. According to the Life of Pi, they are responsible for the most zoo deaths of any any animal by a considerable margin. If it wanted you dead, you'd be dead, it's that simple.

People are picking lion? That's a joke. Lions weigh 400 pounds of pure muscle. Their bread and butter is killing things, and killing things that are larger than them. You don't stand a chance.

Polar bear, see lion but even bigger.
