8 months and a demotion. Weak.

Draw your own conclusions, but the people are only going to spend a few months (prior confinement time is taken into sentances) more in jail.

Makes you wonder how far up the ladder this went.

We don't know that, he's exchanged testimony for a lighter sentence. I'm pretty sure that the hammer is going to be dropped on the more senior members of this case.

Its too politically charged not to have decisive action

I agree. Its early. You won't be able to make a full judgement of scapegoating for about a year.

But you'll probably get your chance eventually.

No matter what happens I'm willing to bet that in the end nobody will be happy with what comes out of this.

The thing about Military Justice is even a short sentence is harder to complete than a long sentence.

Chances are in a Military prison of strict regime your not going to get shived over a package of smokes. But the day to day labour and work is pretty brutal.

I'm willing to bet that we see one or two senior officers from those prisons going to Leveansworth (sp?) for 10 years.

Careers are also going to end as well

But your right Cow, we're at least a year away
